What does the Supersprint Rear Muffler Touring Package replace?

The Rear Muffler Touring Package replaces the rear of the G87 M2 system and removes the mid resonator, leaving the front sections of the car as they were. Supersprint does not publish an itemised component list, so the exact breakdown is confirmed with the supplier at the point of order.

Does it fit a G87 M2 with the particulate filter?

Yes. Supersprint registers this package for the G87 M2 with and without the particulate filter, in the 460 hp version from 2022 to 2023 and the 480 hp version from 2024 onward. The J-Pipe and Twin Pipe packages are narrower and are registered for cars without the filter only.

How is it different from the complete J-Pipe packages?

The complete J-Pipe packages change the front, the middle and the rear of the car. This package changes the rear and the mid resonator only, so it is the choice for an owner who wants the tailpipes and sound changed while leaving the front sections exactly as BMW fitted them.

When will it be available?

Supersprint currently lists this package as under production and asks for delivery times to be confirmed per order. Bulletproof Automotive lists it on backorder with notification and gives you the expected date when the order is placed. The Race rear sold on its own is listed as built to order and may arrive sooner.

Why is the shipping charge higher than on a single rear exhaust?

The package travels as one large consignment, and the freight quoted to us for it is several times that of the rear exhausts sold on their own. The shipping charge reflects the real cost quoted for moving the whole package rather than a flat rate.

Description

Supersprint Rear Muffler Touring Package for G87 BMW M2

Supersprint’s Rear Muffler Touring Package for G87 BMW M2 replaces the rear of the system and takes out the mid resonator, and it leaves the front sections alone, which makes it the package for an owner who wants the tailpipes and the sound changed without touching the front of the car. That is also why it has broader fitment than the J-Pipe and Twin Pipe packages: Supersprint registers it for the G87 M2 with and without the particulate filter. Buying the rear and mid pieces as one package is the simpler route for anyone who has decided on this end of the car. Supersprint currently lists it as under production.

About Supersprint

Supersprint has built exhaust systems in Mantova, Italy since 1955, designing and manufacturing in house rather than assembling bought-in parts. Piping is AISI 304 stainless at a nominal 1.5mm wall, mandrel bent and TIG or MIG welded to CNC machined stainless flanges 7mm to 12mm thick; AISI 310S and Inconel come out where thermal load is highest, and catalyst hardware comes from HJS. Every application is developed against a baseline measured on the AWD MAHA dynamometer in Mantova, which is why the catalogue is model specific rather than universal.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
