Is the Stage 2 package with Silver Intercooler for FL5 Honda models the same as the black version?

Yes, apart from the finish. Both Stage 2 Redline packages contain the Accessport V3, the Redline intake, the COBB intercooler kit and a vehicle badge. This one ships the silver kit, part number 7H2500-SL, while the black package uses 7H2500-BK.

Does it fit both the Civic Type R and the Integra Type S?

Yes. COBB confirms it for the 2023 to 2026 USDM Honda Civic Type R and the 2024 to 2026 USDM Acura Integra Type S with the manual transmission. The intercooler fits the Civic without modification and needs minimal modification on the Integra.

Is this Stage 2 package legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists the package as legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states under CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-273 and D-660-345, provided it is installed and used according to the application guide that COBB publishes for these cars.

Do I need a custom tune for the intake and intercooler?

No. COBB states that this Stage 2 package works with its existing Off The Shelf maps that support the Redline intake, and those maps are loaded through the included Accessport. The Redline intake does require tuning, so it should not be run on the factory calibration alone.

Why choose Stage 2 over Stage 1+?

Stage 2 adds the Silver Intercooler for FL5 Honda and Acura models to the Accessport and Redline intake. Its Garrett core is roughly double the size of the factory cooler, which helps hold power steady through hot weather and back to back pulls. Street cars that rarely see sustained load can stay with Stage 1+.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Redline Carbon Fiber Power Package with Silver Intercooler for FL5 Honda Civic Type R and DE5 Acura Integra Type S

COBB Tuning’s Stage 2 Redline package with Silver Intercooler for FL5 Honda Civic Type R and DE5 Integra Type S owners gathers three upgrades often bought one at a time: the Accessport V3, the Redline carbon fiber intake and the silver version of the COBB intercooler kit. The cooler earns its place, with a Garrett core of 26.2 x 7 x 4.25 in, 101 percent larger than stock, which pays off on hot laps. A car that only commutes is better matched to Stage 1+.

Design and Performance

The Redline airbox is laid up from several plies of 2×2 twill carbon under a gloss clear coat and feeds a MAF housing with 36 percent more cross section than stock. Downstream, the Silver Intercooler for FL5 Honda and Acura models spreads charge air across its core through cast aluminum end tanks, fed by 2.5 in mandrel bent aluminum pipes.

Features

Silver finish COBB intercooler kit bolts into the factory location on the Civic Type R
Billet upper mounts and new bushings support the heavier aluminum core
CFD-designed velocity stack and flow straightener grid ahead of the MAF sensor
Accessport V3 screen shows up to six live parameters and stores up to 100 maps
Launch Control, Flat Foot Shifting and Burnout Mode

What’s Included

Accessport V3 for FL5 Civic Type R and DE5 Integra Type S (AP3-HON-003)

Honda Civic Type R: FL5 | 2023-present | USDM

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-273 and D-660-345
The factory ECU must be shipped to COBB Tuning to be unlocked before the Accessport can flash it
Installing the Accessport over anything other than factory or COBB software may result in ECU or TCU failure
The intercooler needs minimal modification to fit the Integra Type S
Carbon fiber is hand laid, so slight imperfections or weave variances can be expected

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
