Does the Sports Touring Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust keep the factory valve?

No. Remark states that the system eliminates the factory exhaust valve function without triggering a check engine light or malfunction warning. There is no valve remote or actuator control, so the sound stays the same in every drive mode. Buyers who want to switch between quiet and loud should choose a valved system instead.

Can I use the factory front pipe with it?

No. Remark states that the Sports Touring Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust is not compatible with the factory front pipe, and includes a full 3 inch SUS304 stainless front over pipe with a reinforced flex section for that reason. The front pipe and the four titanium sections are designed to fit together as one system.

How much lighter is it than stock?

Remark weighs the complete system at 29 lb, roughly 20 lb lighter than the factory exhaust. Most of the saving comes from the GR2 titanium used for the piping, resonator, muffler and tips, with only the front over pipe in heavier SUS304 stainless steel.

Which parts are titanium and which are stainless?

The piping, resonator, muffler and tips are GR2 titanium, and the tips carry a burnt finish. Only the front over pipe is SUS304 stainless steel. The Sports Touring Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust runs a full 3 inches to the muffler with no reducer, and every joint is hand TIG welded.

Is it loud or droney?

Remark publishes no decibel figure. FL5 owners describe it as restrained at low rpm and strong at high rpm, and very bassy when paired with an aftermarket downpipe, and one owner added trunk sound deadening. Because there is no valve, the tone is the same in every drive mode, so expect a constant note.

Will it fit the Acura Integra Type S?

No. This part is listed for the 2023 and newer Civic Type R only. Remark sells a separate Integra Type S system with its own front over pipe, because the flange sizes differ between the two cars, and notes that the Civic system carries an additional midpipe resonator that the Integra system does not.

Description

Remark Sports Touring Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust with SUS304 Front Pipe for FL5 Honda Civic Type R

Remark’s Sports Touring Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust with SUS304 Front Pipe for FL5 Honda Civic Type R takes about 20 lb off the car: Remark weighs the complete system at 29 lb, with the piping, straight-through resonator, muffler and tips all in GR2 titanium and only the front over pipe in SUS304 stainless. The full length runs at 3in to the muffler with no step down, which is where the flow comes from. It is also a deliberate change of character. Remark does away with the factory valve function without setting a fault, and the included front over pipe is used in place of the factory front pipe, so the system is one continuous design from the flex joint to the twin 3.5in burnt titanium tips. Choose it for weight and a constant, open note; owners who want a quiet setting should look at a valved system.

Construction

Remark builds the system in four pieces behind the front over pipe, hand TIG welded throughout, and the reinforced flex section in the SUS304 front pipe takes up engine movement before the titanium starts. The tips come out of a single muffler as two 3.5in exits with a burnt finish. Because the factory valve function is gone, the note does not change between drive modes; the car sounds the same in Comfort as it does in +R. Remark publishes an installation guide for the system, and it ships in two boxes because of its length.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
