Optimized 3-into-1 merge collectors replace the restrictive factory design, while carefully sized runners increase exhaust velocity into the turbo, smoothing the flow path and helping the engine pull harder across the rev range.By sizing the header outlet larger than the OEM turbo inlet and refining the internal volume, these Sport Headers pair cleanly with the turbo’s efficiency map, delivering gains of roughly 12 whp and 20ft-lb of torque on a tuned base 991.2 Carrera, with noticeably crisper throttle response and more usable power in every gear. Weighing about 5.4lb less than the stock manifolds (9.9lb vs 15.3lb), they also trim weight from the nose of the car, subtly improving overall feel.  Each set is designed and built in-house at SOUL’s Willow Grove, PA facility from high-grade T304L stainless, then fixture-checked for precise, direct bolt-on fitment on all 991.2 Carrera variants with or without PSE. Development

• SOUL Performance was determined to optimize performance and enhance response while also considering clearance for daily driven vehicles. Their expertly designed 3-into-1 merge collector ensures improved response compared to the factory design, while the runners effectively increase exhaust velocity into the collector and turbo. Upon examination of the factory headers, one can observe a support in the middle runner, which hampers the smooth flow path from the exhaust port. Overall, the factory design is quite basic and leaves ample room for improvement.
• To achieve a seamless flow path into the turbo, the header outlet was sized at 1.63″, surpassing the factory turbo inlet measurement of approximately 1.54″ ID. The combination of the internal volume of the header and the resulting design enhancements harmoniously align with the efficiency map of the turbo, resulting in noticeably quicker boost response and increased power throughout the RPM range. With each press of the gas pedal, the car responds promptly, and each gear delivers more usable power before necessitating a downshift.
• In contrast to the factory header’s double wall design, SOUL Performance Products’ header features a single wall design, resulting in a more aesthetically appealing sharper edge to the exhaust and an amplified turbo sound. This design modification brings forth a delightful increase in exhaust volume and enhances the overall tone quality, all without introducing drone or undesirable characteristics. Anticipate an augmented presence of burbles and sharper pops during gear shifts and upon deceleration.

Construction

• Every set of headers is meticulously assembled in-house in the USA, employing laser-cut flanges and mandrel bent, thick wall .065″ T304L stainless steel. The welding process is executed with back purged TIG welding, utilizing ARCAL Prime argon gas to ensure optimal weld penetration and durability. In the fabrication process, thick gauge aluminum fixtures are employed, serving as excellent heat sinks during welding and effectively preventing warping of both the products and the fixtures themselves. This meticulous approach guarantees impeccable fitment of the headers.
