The SOUL Performance 992 Carrera sport cats replace the restrictive, heavy 700-cell factory cats with high-flow performance units built around large-diameter 2.5-inch T304L stainless tubing to let the 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six finally breathe and sound the way it should. Designed for North American 992.1 models without Gasoline Particulate Filters (GPF), and also compatible with European spec models when paired with an appropriate ECU tune to eliminate resulting check engine lights, these sport cats dramatically increase turbo and exhaust volume, delivering a throatier, more urgent engine note and crisper boost response without noxious fumes. Each set is fabricated in-house at SOUL’s Willow Grove, PA facility using 0.065-inch wall mandrel-bent T304L tubing, CNC-cut flanges, and laser-cut brackets, with every weld back-purged for durability under extreme heat and load. Built and verified in thick-gauge aluminum fixtures for precise, direct bolt-on fitment, the converters arrive foam-packed with new hardware and are backed by SOUL’s Lifetime Warranty on the piping.

Development

Arguably the most impactful hardware upgrade on the 992.1 is replacing the restrictive and heavy 700-cell factory catalysts. Swapping the factory units for high-flow HJS HD 200-cell catalysts, engineered to withstand extreme abuse, lets you hear the turbos clear as day with no noxious fumes. The increased flow delivers better turbo response and a noticeable improvement in drivability.

Construction

SOUL’s fabrication team crafts each set of sport cats in-house using mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing with a 2.5-inch diameter and 0.065-inch wall thickness. Components are assembled with CNC-cut flanges and precision laser-cut brackets. All welds are back-purged for increased longevity under the most extreme conditions.

HJS HD 200-Cell Catalysts

Renowned for exceptional flow and durability, these catalysts are among the highest quality available. Equipped with a premium wash coat infused with precious metals, they meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while facilitating an increase in flow. The HD design incorporates a robust triple foil winding for optimal strength, and a brazing feature prevents core movement or damage under sustained high horsepower abuse. A generously sized catalyst is used to allow for maximum gains with no compromises.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
