OS Giken TCD LSD for GSE21 Lexus IS350
The oil-fed, quiet-running TCD differential for the 306 hp IS350, locking hard on corner exit while keeping the sedan refined in traffic.
OS Giken’s TCD LSD for GSE21 Lexus IS350 is the version of OS Giken’s limited-slip differential that suits a luxury sedan best, and it is the unit OS Giken’s own Japanese catalogue lists for the GSE21. The IS350’s 306 hp 2GR-FSE V6 overwhelms an unloaded inside rear tire on a tight exit, but a conventional clutch-type LSD can clunk and chatter in the traffic an IS350 spends most of its life in. TCD keeps the Super Lock’s pressure ring mechanism and feeds oil across the friction discs, so it locks firmly under power and stays quiet the rest of the time. Choose it for an IS350 that is driven every day and enjoyed on weekends.
OS Giken was founded in Okayama, Japan in 1973 by Masaharu Okazaki. It built the TC16 and TC24-B1 DOHC cylinder heads for Nissan L-series engines, began making multi-plate racing clutches in 1982 and started supplying OEM limited-slip differentials in 1983. Development of the Super Lock LSD began in 1997, and of the OS-88 sequential gearbox for the Skyline GT-R in 1998.
