Which Porsche 911 991 models does the Ohlins Road & Track coilover system fit?

This kit covers a wide range of 991-generation Porsche 911 models across both 991.1 and 991.2 platforms. On the 991.1 side, it fits the Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Carrera GTS, Carrera 4 GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S from 2011 to 2016, with the Turbo models starting in 2012. On the 991.2 side, it covers the Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Carrera GTS, Carrera 4 GTS, 911 T, Turbo, Turbo S, and Turbo Exclusive through 2019. It is designed for vehicles with PDCC and will not fit GT3 models. Contact Bulletproof Automotive with any fitment questions before ordering.

What are the spring rates and ride height adjustment on this kit?

The Ohlins Road & Track coilover system uses a 70 N/mm front spring rate and a 140 N/mm rear spring rate. Ride height and spring preload are adjusted separately, allowing precise lowering of 10 to 20mm with the recommended setup without affecting suspension travel.

What does the DFV technology do for the 991 Porsche 911?

DFV stands for Dual Flow Valve; an Ohlins damper design that reacts quickly to changing road and track surfaces. On the 991 911, this delivers faster response times, better bump absorption, and more consistent grip at the limit, keeping the car stable and on the racing line through bumps and curbs on track.

Does the kit retain the original top mounts?

Yes. The Ohlins Road & Track coilover system for the 991 Porsche 911 is designed to maintain the original top mounts. The front uses an upside-down McPherson strut configuration and the rear uses a conventional shock absorber.

Does this kit include the Ohlins EDC cancellation kit?

No. The Ohlins EDC cancellation kit (part number 35020-07) is not included and must be purchased separately if required for your vehicle.

What warranty does the Ohlins 991 Road & Track kit carry?

The Ohlins Road & Track coilover system for the 991 Porsche 911 is backed by a two-year manufacturer warranty.

Description

Öhlins DFV Road & Track Coilovers for 991 Porsche 911 Carrera, Targa and Turbo

Öhlins’ DFV Road & Track Coilovers for 991 Porsche 911 Carrera, Targa and Turbo models replace all four dampers and springs with Öhlins kit POS MU00S1. One kit covers the 991.1 and 991.2 Carrera, Carrera 4, Targa 4 and Turbo ranges, coupe and Cabriolet, rear-drive and all-wheel drive. A gold knob on each damper switches between street and track settings in seconds, and on Öhlins’ recommended setup the car sits about 10 mm lower than stock. It suits the owner who drives to the circuit and home again; a car trailered to every event wants a dedicated track damper.

Design and Performance

The Dual Flow Valve lets one adjuster shift low and high speed compression and rebound together, so road and track settings are a knob turn apart rather than a session of separate changes. The front uses upside-down monotube McPherson struts and the rear uses aluminum monotube shock absorbers, each with a spring preload adjuster and a separate damper length adjuster. The rear damping adjusters sit on control wires with their own adjustment wheels. Both ends keep the original Porsche top mounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which cars do the Coilovers for 991 Porsche 911 Carrera fit? Öhlins lists kit POS MU00S1 for the 991.1 and 991.2 Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera GTS and Carrera T, the Carrera 4, 4S and 4 GTS, the Targa 4 models and the Turbo and Turbo S, coupe and Cabriolet. The GT3, GT3 RS and GT2 RS are not on the list.
Do I need the PASM cancellation kit? Only on cars with factory PASM adaptive dampers. Öhlins lists cancellation kit 35020-07 for these cars to prevent fault codes once the PASM dampers come out. Cars on passive dampers do not need it.
Does a car with PDCC need anything extra? Yes. Öhlins lists PDCC brackets 25616-13 and 25616-14, sold separately, for cars with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control.
What damping setting should I use? Öhlins suggests 10 to 20 clicks for street driving, 5 to 10 for winding roads and 2 to 7 for track use. Each click changes compression and rebound together through the DFV valve.
How low does the 991 sit on the Öhlins kit? On the Öhlins recommended spring preload of 2 mm the car sits about 10 mm lower than stock. Öhlins gives a lowering range of roughly 0 to 20 mm, and the mounting instructions warn that going past the recommended length setting can bring the wheel into contact with the fender liner.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
