Öhlins’ DFV Road & Track Coilovers for 964 / 965 Porsche 911 models replace the dampers and springs with Öhlins kit POR GN01S1, which Öhlins lists for the 964 Carrera 2 and Carrera 4, and which Öhlins USA also listed for the 964 Turbo and Turbo S. Each damper has one adjuster for compression and rebound, every corner has its own spring preload and ride height adjustment with 15 mm of range either way, and aluminum top mounts come in the kit, with adjustable camber at the front. It suits an air-cooled 911 that is driven on the road and taken to the occasional track day.

Design and Performance

The Dual Flow Valve lets one adjuster per damper change compression and rebound together. The front uses upside-down McPherson struts and the rear uses conventional shock absorbers, each with a spring preload adjuster and a separate ride height adjustment, so stance and spring preload are set independently. Öhlins aluminum top mounts replace the factory mounts, adjustable for camber at the front and fixed at the rear.

Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
