Vauxhall built its track-focused VXR220 on the Turbo for good reason. The boosted VX220 has the pace for serious circuit work, and track speeds show up the limits of a road-tuned suspension within a few laps. The Nitron VX220 Turbo NTR-R1 ClubSport kit is built for owners who track their Turbo regularly and still drive it to the circuit. Nitron uses stiffer springs and firmer valving than in the FastRoad kit. The Nitron VX220 Turbo NTR-R1 ClubSport holds the car flat into heavy braking zones and keeps roll in check through long, fast corners. It also controls the rear as torque comes in on exit, so the power goes into forward drive, not squat and wheelspin. The car’s balance stays steady at the limit, so the driver can carry more speed with confidence. Each corner has one adjuster that sets bump and rebound together, which keeps changes between sessions quick and simple. Mounting brackets come with the kit, supplied for your car’s drive side.

Unique Technology

Nitron’s motorsport department developed the NTR-R1, and the Nitron VX220 Turbo NTR-R1 ClubSport shares much of its internal hardware with the NTR-R3 that Nitron fields in international racing. Each damper is self-contained, with its gas charge and oil inside the body. There are no canisters to mount or hoses to route through the VX220’s hot, crowded rear bay. The dampers run inverted, so less weight sits on the wheel side of each corner. That helps the tires stay in contact over curbs and track surface changes. Internal friction is very low, so the Nitron VX220 Turbo NTR-R1 ClubSport starts controlling the wheel as soon as it moves. On track, that keeps the car composed through quick direction changes and stops the stiffer ClubSport springs from skipping over ripples. The dampers also resist fade as they heat up during long sessions at Turbo speeds, so the balance holds from the first lap to the last.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
