The Nitron 300ZX NTR-R3 Coilover Kit is for the Z32 owner who has outgrown a single damping adjustment. A 300ZX is a heavy grand tourer, and once it starts seeing hard driving, the way it handles a fast direction change and the way it handles a slow roll into a corner stop being the same problem. Nitron’s passive NTR-R3 replaces the spring and damper at each corner with a coilover and gives you independent high and low speed adjustment for both compression and rebound, so those two situations can be tuned separately. Piggyback reservoirs sit on the dampers at the front and rear with no hoses to route, and the rear keeps the OEM suspension type. Adjustable spring perches set the ride height, firmer race springs back up the damper, and adjustable top plates are included front and rear so the alignment can be set properly once the ride height changes. The result is a Z32 that turns in with more precision, stays flatter through a corner, and settles after a bump, which suits track days, autocross, and a road car driven properly.

Unique Technology

Each Nitron NTR-R3 damper is a monotube design pressurized with nitrogen gas, which keeps the oil from aerating and holds damping consistent as the dampers heat up over a long session. The valving comes from motorsport work and is tuned to the weight and spring rates of a Z32 300ZX instead of being adapted from a generic curve. Where the NTR-R1 combines compression and rebound into a single adjustment, the NTR-R3 separates high speed and low speed circuits for each, which gives four independent adjustments at every corner.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
