The Nitron 300ZX NTR-R1 Coilover Kit is for the Z32 that has outlived its original dampers and needs its body control back. A heavy 1990s grand tourer leans, dives, and floats over bumps once the factory dampers and springs have worn, and the car’s handling suffers well before the engine does. Nitron’s passive NTR-R1 replaces the spring and damper at each corner with a coilover, pairing firmer race springs with a damper built to control them, and it adds adjustable spring perches for setting ride height. Adjustable top plates come included for both the front and rear, so the alignment can be set properly once the ride height changes. The rear keeps the OEM suspension type. The result is a Z32 that turns in more cleanly, stays flatter through corners, and settles quickly after a bump, whether it’s a road car that sees spirited driving or one that goes to autocross and track days.

Unique Technology

Each Nitron NTR-R1 damper is a monotube design pressurized with nitrogen gas, which keeps the oil from aerating and holds damping consistent as the dampers heat up over a long session. The valving comes from motorsport work and is tuned to the weight and spring rates of a Z32 300ZX instead of being adapted from a generic curve. Compression and rebound are adjusted together through a single 2-way adjustment at each corner, and the reservoir is internal, so there is nothing remote to mount or route.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
