Which Porsche 911 models do the Moton 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers for 996 GT3 fit?

MOTON lists the Moton 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers for 996 GT3 for the Porsche 911 GT3 / GT2 (race use; 996, 1997 to 2005). Each Motorsport set is built to order in the Netherlands for that fitment, so confirm the exact model, year and any previous suspension changes with us before ordering.

How does the 3-Way Motorsport kit compare with the other MOTON kits for the 996 GT3 or GT2?

The 3-Way Motorsport adds a second compression circuit, so low-speed and high-speed compression are set separately on the reservoir at each corner of the 996 GT3 or GT2. The 2-Way Clubsport keeps compression as one adjuster and is quicker to set up. On the 996 GT3 or GT2 it is the kit for racing and data-led setup work.

What modification does the 996 GT2 need?

MOTON states that the strut towers on a 996 GT2 must be modified to gain the extra camber adjustment this set is built around. The work is a body modification and should be done by a race preparation shop before the kit is installed. The 996 GT3 does not carry that note in the MOTON list.

What comes in the box?

Four non-inverted monotube coilovers with springs and remote reservoirs, each adjustable for rebound, low-speed compression and high-speed compression, pillowball front camber plates, built to order for the 996 GT3 or GT2. Wheel spacers, any electronic damper cancellation and the alignment are not included, and the kit ships without spring preload set.

Are the 996 GT3 or GT2 dampers rebuildable, and is there a warranty?

Yes to both. MOTON designs every damper to be serviced and refreshed rather than replaced, which matters on a 996 GT3 or GT2 that sees heavy track use. AST x MOTON covers its coilover kits with a 24-month warranty, registered with the order ID on the product certificate or on a damper.

Description

Moton 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers for 996 GT3 and GT2 Porsche 911, Race Use

Moton’s 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers for 996 GT3 and GT2 Porsche 911, Race Use are the most adjustable damper MOTON builds for the 996 GT3 and GT2, with rebound plus separate low-speed and high-speed compression. The 996 GT3 R and RSR were the customer racing versions of the car, and this 3-way set is the one MOTON names for them, with quick-disconnect couplings front and rear. Splitting compression into two circuits lets body control on the 996 GT3 or GT2 be firmed without making the car skip across ripples and kerbs.

Design and Performance

Two compression circuits let body control on the 996 GT3 or GT2 be firmed up without making the car skip over bumps. It is overkill on a road car, and the Moton 2-Way Clubsport Coilovers suit regular track days with less to set up.

Features

Non-inverted monotube dampers, adjustable for rebound and separate high-speed and low-speed compression
Compression adjusters on external remote reservoirs
Threaded ride height at all four corners
True coilover layout front and rear
Pillowball front camber plates

Quick-disconnect couplings, front and rear
Fully rebuildable, 24-month AST x MOTON warranty

The Moton 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers for 996 GT3 are for race use only, per MOTON
On the 996 GT2, MOTON requires the strut towers to be modified for the extra camber adjustment
Route reservoir hoses clear of moving parts and secure them at the banjo
Keep at least 5 mm between wheel and damper; some factory wheels need a spacer
Kits are built to order in the Netherlands; lead time is confirmed at order

About Moton

MOTON Suspension Technology was founded in the Netherlands in 1999, and by June 2000 around 30 percent of the cars at the 24 Hours of Le Mans ran its dampers. MOTON has since won in the FIA GT and FIA Sportscar championships, the ETCC and WTCC, Grand-Am and World Challenge. AST Suspension acquired the brand in 2011, and every MOTON damper is now developed, tested and built by the AST x MOTON team in the Netherlands, part of the Roosen Industries group since 2016.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
