Moshammer Turbo Side Skirts give the 991 Turbo the lower edge its shoulders have always wanted. Significantly wider than the standard components, they extend the underbody outward, and that added width is what generates the extra downforce along the flanks of the car. Moshammer builds in Berlin to an OEM+ standard and supplies the part with a TUV parts certificate (§19.3), documentation that matters on a car engineered as carefully as this one. They locate on the original screw points and clips, so the car can be returned to standard without a trace. Delivered unpainted with mounting material and made to order in small batches, which is why they never look like a catalogue part.

Design and Stance

The 991 Turbo carries its width at the rear and then loses the thread along the sill, where the factory panel is deliberately modest. These skirts close that gap, running a wider, more resolved section between the arches so the whole flank reads as one intention. Fitted to a Turbo S or a GT3 RS the result is menace rather than costume, which is the only version of aggressive that suits this car.

Aerodynamic Function

A wider sill produces a wider underbody, and a wider underbody works a larger area of air beneath the car, which is where the additional downforce comes from. Flow is kept beneath the body instead of escaping out from under the doors, and the benefit shows up as stability when the car is loaded rather than as a marketing figure. Simple aerodynamics, executed with the tolerances the rest of the car deserves.

Engineering and Fitment

The set installs using the original screw points and clips with the supplied mounting material, so nothing is cut and the change is entirely reversible. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
