Kline Innovation Valvetronic Exhaust System for LP560-4 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

The Lamborghini Gallardo, with its captivating aesthetics and a V10 engine producing 500bhp, represents the very essence of a supercar designed to stand out with its striking styling and unwavering heritage. Recognizing the opportunity to enhance this exceptional vehicle, Kline made the decision to design and construct the Ultimate Lamborghini Gallardo exhaust system, sculpted from the finest ultra-lightweight Inconel 625 material, incorporating the most innovative sound and performance design to date.

The Sound

  • One of the key criticisms of the Gallardo was that its exhaust lacked the desired aggressiveness to fully embody the raw nature of the supercar. Motivated by this feedback, the team at Kline embarked on the mission to design the ultimate Gallardo exhaust. The core concept driving the design was to create an exhaust system that would truly scream at high revs while maintaining near-stock levels of quietness during cruising speeds.
  • To achieve this, the exhaust was meticulously engineered to incorporate two chambered silencers during valve closure, effectively eliminating any bass drone. Upon valve bypass, the exhaust seamlessly transitions into a completely free-flow configuration, with the gases passing exclusively through Kline’s trademark 1D CLR x-pipe. The result is an exhaust note on valve open that is seriously incendiary. The x-pipe raises the pitch of the exhaust note into a raucously aggressive vocal, consistently evoking the description from customers during testing: “It sounds like a demon screaming.”

Performance

  • The Kline Lamborghini Gallardo exhaust operates at the highest level of efficiency, delivering significant gains made possible through the removal of secondary catalysts and the addition of completely free-flow silencers during valve open. With 100 CPSI cats, the largest power gain achieved is 18hp at 5100 rpm, while the largest torque gain amounts to 27nm at 4800 rpm.

Stainless Steel

  • Within the domain of exhaust manufacturing, the industry traditionally relies on the well-established standard of 304-grade stainless steel. This grade offers a balanced combination of moderate strength, thermochemical stability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of production, enabling the construction of exhaust systems that strike a practical balance between affordability and functionality, ensuring long-lasting durability. However, it is important to acknowledge that stainless steel, although similar in density to regular steel, is relatively heavier compared to alternative materials. Additionally, it possesses slightly lower tensile strength. As a result, stainless steel has its limitations when it comes to creating high-performance exhaust components, which may result in a somewhat subdued and less vibrant exhaust note compared to other materials.

Inconel

  • When prioritizing durability and heat resistance, Inconel 625 emerges as the ultimate choice widely utilized in the aerospace industry. This exceptional material finds extensive application in the manufacturing of critical components, particularly exhaust turbine blades for high-performance jet engines. Inconel is highly favored in Formula One exhaust systems and has been selected by manufacturers involved in prestigious hypercar projects such as the McLaren P1 and Aston Martin 177. The advantages of Inconel lie in its high tensile strength and excellent thermochemical stability. Comparable to titanium in terms of tensile strength, Inconel achieves an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio, enabling the utilization of thin sidewall materials while maintaining structural integrity. This facilitates the production of lightweight components that exhibit exceptional resistance to fatigue over extended periods. However, working with Inconel presents challenges due to its difficult machinability and specific welding requirements, demanding specialized skills and time-consuming techniques. Additionally, the unique properties and specialized manufacturing processes associated with Inconel contribute to its higher cost as a raw material.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.
We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
