What is not included with the Type-S Aero Kit for DC5 cars?

The Type-S Aero Kit for DC5 cars does not include a GT wing, aero hood, front canards, front side wings, wide fenders or aero mirrors. It covers the front bumper, side steps and rear bumper with their under panels and rear canards. Paint is not included either.

Do the parts need painting?

Yes. The bumpers and side steps are finished in gelcoat FRP and must be painted before fitting, and on the FRP option the under panels and canards are gelcoat too. On the Carbon option those parts are carbon FRP. Have a body shop test-fit everything before paint.

Which model year option do I need?

Early Model fits cars with the Japanese model codes DC5-100 to DC5-220, and Late Model fits DC5-230 cars, which correspond to the facelifted Integra. Because US cars do not carry those codes, confirm the right version for your car with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering.

How much does it lower coolant temperature?

In the manufacturer comparison test, the kit reduced coolant temperature by 8 degrees Celsius compared with the normal bumper. The figure comes from its own test, with conditions not published, so treat it as a guide; the result on your car depends on the radiator, the climate and how hard it is driven.

Does it fit Integra models other than the Type R?

Yes. The manufacturer states that the kit can also be fitted to the Integra iS and Type S, as long as the correct early or late version is chosen. Its US distributor files it under the Acura RSX, so RSX owners should confirm fitment with Bulletproof Automotive first.

Description

J’s Racing Type-S Aero Kit for DC5 Honda Integra and Acura RSX

J’s Racing’s Type-S Aero Kit for DC5 Integra owners, the Type-S Total Aero System, came out of two years of development using aerodynamic data from Super Taikyu and other racing. The Osaka tuner treats aero as a tuning part rather than dress-up: more downforce, less drag and better cooling, without mounting anything so low that it becomes unusable on the street. In its own comparison test the kit ran coolant 8 degrees Celsius cooler than the stock bumper. It suits an owner rebuilding both the look and the cooling of the car at once.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
