J’s Racing’s Tsuchinoko Chamber for Late GD3 and GD4 Fits with the 1.5-liter engine and manual gearbox solves the small-car intake problem by moving the filter out of the engine bay altogether. A large chamber fills the little space available under the hood, and the filter sits inside the bumper, drawing through the factory bumper inlet so it breathes outside air instead of engine heat. It took six months to develop. Choose wet carbon for a show-quality bay or FRP in clear black for the same function at lower cost. It is aimed at L15A manual cars that are driven hard; CVT owners need a different kit.

Development and Testing

J’s Racing ran the same stock-engine Fit on a Dynapack three ways: with the factory intake, with an aftermarket air cleaner, and with this chamber. No fan was aimed at the intake, so the test isolated the chamber itself. J’s Racing points to the torque increase as the headline result.
