The J’s Racing SPL Aluminum Radiator RR ends the FK8 Honda Civic Type R’s most famous track-day weakness: water temperature. The all-aluminum core doubles tube width from the factory 5mm to 10mm, widens fin pitch from 1.5mm to 3mm, and runs a triple-pass layout through a 48mm-thick core. In J’s Racing’s Suzuka Circuit testing over six full-throttle laps, maximum water temperature dropped 25C and average temperature dropped 15C against the stock radiator.

Construction

J’s Racing sized the core at the maximum possible capacity increase over the genuine radiator, using flex round processing, an integrated press molding that maintains plate thickness and increases strength while trimming weight. The OEM cooling fan and air conditioning are both retained, and the radiator ships with its OUT-side piping, joint hose, bands, and a heat shield plate.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
