Do the Rear Upper Arms for DC5 cars work with automatic headlight leveling?

No. The manufacturer states that the Rear Upper Arms for DC5 cars cannot be used on cars with an automatic headlight leveling system, which typically links a height sensor to the rear suspension. Check whether your car has one before ordering, and ask Bulletproof Automotive if you are unsure.

Do I need an alignment after fitting them?

Yes. The manufacturer requires a wheel alignment after installation, and that is the point of the parts: the turnbuckle lets the alignment technician set rear camber to the value you want. Set the arm lengths evenly before fitting so the car can be driven safely to the alignment shop.

Why adjust rear camber on a front-drive car?

The manufacturer calls rear camber adjustment the basic step in setting up any front-drive car, because rear grip decides how readily the car rotates into a corner. Being able to set it precisely, rather than living with the factory value at a lowered ride height, lets you balance the car for your driving.

Are they sold as a pair?

Yes. The set contains one right and one left rear upper arm, which is everything needed for the rear axle. Both arms use the same turnbuckle and pillow-ball design, so camber can be set independently on each side during the alignment.

What are they made of?

The arm bodies are 2017S aluminum, chosen by the manufacturer for its contribution to weight reduction, with pillow-ball joints at the ends in place of rubber bushings. Check the fasteners regularly once fitted, and before every circuit session, as the manufacturer advises.

Description

J’s Racing Rear Upper Arms for DC5 Honda Integra Type R and Acura RSX

J’s Racing’s Rear Upper Arms for DC5 owners give the Integra Type R and RSX adjustable rear camber, which the Osaka tuner calls the foundation of any front-drive chassis setup. Each arm pairs pillow-ball ends with a turnbuckle body, so its length can be set freely and rear camber dialed in exactly, and the turnbuckle makes alignment work far quicker. J’s Racing uses 2017S aluminum, which also trims weight. They suit an owner who aligns the car for track days or a lowered stance; a stock car driven gently has little need for them.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
