Does the FX-PRO 70RR Exhaust for EP3 need any other parts?

Yes. The FX-PRO 70RR Exhaust for EP3 is designed to slip into the 2-1 front pipe made by the same manufacturer, listed separately as the Stainless Race Pipe for the EP3. It is not designed to connect to the factory front pipe, so order the two together and have them installed as a pair.

How does the 70RR differ from the 60RS?

The 70RR has a 70mm main pipe, the largest in the manufacturer range, and aims at maximum power on a circuit car. The 60RS uses a 60mm main pipe developed for the street and accepts an optional inner silencer to lower the volume. Both share 1mm titanium construction and the dolphin tail.

How much lighter is it than the stock muffler?

The manufacturer states a saving of more than 50 percent against the stock muffler, made possible by 1mm-wall titanium tubing. No exact weight is published for the EP3 version, so treat the percentage as a guide rather than a measured figure for your particular car.

Which cars is the 70RR titanium system designed for?

It was developed for the JDM EP3 Civic Type R with the K20A engine, built from 2001 to 2005. It may not fit the US-market EP3 Civic Si, so confirm with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering and include details of any other exhaust parts already on the car.

Can the exhaust touch the underside of the car?

Yes. Because of how the pipes are routed, the manufacturer notes that the system may contact the underside of the car. Check clearance carefully during installation, particularly on a lowered EP3, and look over the hangers and joints again after the first few drives.

Description

J’s Racing FX-PRO 70RR Exhaust for EP3 Honda Civic Type R

J’s Racing’s FX-PRO 70RR Exhaust for EP3 Civic Type R is the most aggressive version of the Osaka tuner’s redesigned full titanium exhaust, built to draw out everything the VTEC engine has. Its 70mm main pipe is the largest J’s Racing uses on any exhaust, and the straight-through layout keeps back pressure to a minimum. The tubing is 1mm-wall titanium shaped on a 3D bender, and J’s Racing puts the weight saving at more than 50 percent against the stock muffler. A larger silencer and a sharper cut-process dolphin tail complete it. It is built for a dedicated circuit EP3.

Design and Performance

The RR series exists for pure power, raising torque and power across the rev range. The 70RR slips into J’s Racing’s 2-1 front pipe, which is sold separately, so plan the two as one installation. Because of the way the pipes are routed, the system may touch the underside of the car.

Features

70mm main pipe, the largest in the J’s Racing exhaust range
1mm-wall titanium tubing throughout
More than 50 percent lighter than the stock muffler, by J’s Racing’s comparison

Smooth 3D-bent pipes for low exhaust resistance

Honda Civic Type R: EP3 | 2001-2005 | 2.0L K20A

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
