Is the muffler bush included?

No. The exhaust needs one Type B reinforced muffler bush, which is sold separately, so order it at the same time. The optional inner silencer that reduces volume is also a separate purchase. Everything else needed to hang the system is not itemized by the manufacturer, so confirm hardware with Bulletproof Automotive.

Will the FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for FD2 fit a US-market Civic?

Not reliably. The FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for FD2 cars is shaped for the underbody of the Japanese-market FD2 Civic Type R sedan, and the manufacturer warns it may not fit the US-market FG Civic. If your car is an imported FD2 Type R, it is the intended application.

The manufacturer describes the dry VTEC sound of full titanium through a straight-through silencer, and it does not publish a decibel figure for this model. If you want a quieter setting for long drives, the separately sold inner silencer fits into the system to lower the volume.

How does the 60RS compare with the 70RS and 70RR?

The 60RS uses a 60mm main pipe for drivability and gains across the rev range, and it is the street choice. The 70RS and 70RR step up to a 70mm main pipe for more top-end power. The 70RS adds a silenced center pipe, while the 70RR is the loudest and most power-focused.

How much weight does it save?

The manufacturer states a saving of more than 50 percent compared with the stock muffler, made possible by 1mm titanium pipe. No exact weight is published for the 60RS, and the North American distributor adds that the figure varies by model, so treat the percentage as a guide.

Description

J’s Racing FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for FD2 Honda Civic Type R

J’s Racing’s FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for FD2 Civic Type R sedans is the street-oriented member of the Osaka tuner’s redesigned full titanium range. The model change kept the straight-through layout that J’s Racing uses to drive back pressure down, and fitted a larger silencer for a more refined finish. The tube is 1mm-wall titanium, and J’s Racing puts the saving at more than 50 percent of the stock muffler’s weight. A 60mm main pipe targets torque and power across the whole rev range rather than only near the limiter. It is the FX-PRO to choose for an FD2 that is driven on the road and tracked occasionally.

Design and Performance

Each titanium section is formed on a three-dimensional bender, keeping the bends smooth and the flow path free of restriction. The dolphin tail is cut rather than simply rolled, giving it a sharper outline, and its heat color is applied by hand. From the cabin, the result is the dry VTEC note J’s Racing associates with full titanium, which a separately sold inner silencer can tone down.

Features

Full titanium construction in 1mm-wall tube
More than 50 percent lighter than the stock muffler, per J’s Racing
60mm main pipe tuned for street drivability
Enlarged straight-through silencer for minimal back pressure
Three-dimensionally bent pipework
Cut dolphin tail with hand-applied color

Applications

Honda Civic Type R: FD2 | 2007-2010 | 2.0L K20A

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
