Do the fenders bolt straight on?

No. Drilling is required, and the manufacturer says all fitting is matched to the individual car, so expect test fitting and adjustment before paint. A body shop used to FRP aero parts is the best choice, since gaps and alignment are worked out on the car itself.

How much wider are the Front Wide Fenders for EP3?

Each of the Front Wide Fenders for EP3 adds approximately 25mm of width on its side, roughly 50mm across the front in total. That room is meant for a wider track or wider tires. Wheel offset and tire size still need to be worked out for your car, as no specific wheel fitment is published.

Do I need to paint them?

Yes. They are supplied in black gel coat FRP and painting is not included, so plan on having them painted to match the body. Doing the paint after the fenders are drilled and test fitted gives the body shop a chance to perfect the fit first.

Will they work with my front bumper?

Yes, if it is the factory bumper. The fenders are designed to suit the original EP3 front bumper and keep the standard body line. Aftermarket bumpers are not mentioned by the manufacturer, so confirm compatibility with Bulletproof Automotive first if your car runs one.

Which cars are the fenders designed for?

The fenders were developed on the JDM EP3 Civic Type R with the K20A, built from 2001 to 2005. They may not fit the US-market EP3 Civic Si, so give Bulletproof Automotive your exact model before ordering, especially if other aero parts are already fitted.

Description

J’s Racing Front Wide Fenders for EP3 Honda Civic Type R

J’s Racing’s Front Wide Fenders for EP3 Civic Type R add about 25mm of width on each side, making room for a wider track or wider front tires without breaking up the stock body lines. They are shaped to work with the factory front bumper, and a duct at the back of each fender draws turbulent air out of the wheel well to cut drag, a detail also seen on high-end imported sports cars. The fenders are FRP in black gel coat and come as a left and right set. They are meant for an EP3 moving to wider wheels or tires; on standard wheels they are a styling choice.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
