Does the wing come with a UV protective clear coat?

No. The manufacturer recommends a UV-cut clear coat to protect the wet carbon from sun damage on cars stored outdoors or kept for a long time, and that coating is not included. If your EG6 lives outside, budget for the clear coat to be applied by a paint shop before the wing is fitted.

Is the 3D GT-Wing 1350mm for EG6 designed for US-market Civics?

No. The 3D GT-Wing 1350mm for EG6 cars is designed for the Japanese-market EG6 Civic SiR with the B16A engine and may not fit a US-market EG Civic. Because wing mounting depends on the body, confirm your car with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering.

Why is the top of the wing curved?

The upper surface follows a banana shape so the wing gains area without becoming wider overall. Combined with a complex three-dimensional section that catches airflow coming off the roof, the shape reduces drag while producing downforce efficiently, which the manufacturer says increases cornering speed in fast corners.

Can the angle be adjusted?

Yes. The wing has four stages of adjustment, so it can be set for a low-speed course, a high-speed circuit or the street. That range lets the same wet carbon wing follow the car from street driving to a fast circuit weekend without changing parts.

How large is the wing?

The span is 1350mm with a single flap, sized for the EG6 hatchback. The design is the same three-dimensional GT-Wing concept used in GT racing, tuning cars and time attack, built here in wet carbon. Weight and chord dimensions are not published by the manufacturer.

Description

J’s Racing 3D GT-Wing 1350mm for EG6 Honda Civic

J’s Racing’s 3D GT-Wing 1350mm for EG6 Civic SiR builds brings the three-dimensional wing shape that has become standard in GT racing, tuner cars and time attack to the compact EG6 hatch. The 1350mm single-flap wing is made from wet carbon, and its upper surface curves in a banana shape so it gains wing area without growing in overall width. A complex three-dimensional section catches the airflow coming off the roof, reducing drag while producing downforce efficiently, which J’s Racing says raises cornering speed in fast corners. It suits an EG6 built for the circuit or time attack; for a car that rarely sees high speeds, it is more wing than needed.

Design and Performance

The wing has four stages of adjustment, so the setting can be matched to a tight low-speed course, a fast circuit or road driving. The Osaka company, a Honda-only specialist since 1989, shaped the section to reduce drag while it generates downforce, so the wing earns its place on fast circuits as well as tight ones.

Features

Wet carbon construction
1350mm span with a single flap
Banana-shaped upper surface adds wing area within a limited overall width
Three-dimensional wing section works with airflow from the roof to reduce drag
Four-stage adjustment for low-speed courses, fast circuits and street use

Applications

Honda Civic SiR: EG6 | 1991-1995 | 1.6L B16A

Notes

J’s Racing designs this part for the JDM EG6 Civic with the B16A engine; it may not fit the US-market EG Civic
J’s Racing recommends a UV-cut clear coat for cars stored outdoors or kept for many years, to prevent sun damage to the carbon; the coating is not included
Mounting hardware, stands and any trunk modification are not described in the source, so confirm the installation details with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering
For a matched look, pair it with the Front Wide Fenders for the EG6 Civic
Every wing is laid up in Japan and imported by J’s Racing USA; expect Bulletproof Automotive to confirm availability and the lead time once you have ordered

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
