Development

• The 997.2 IPD Turbo Plenum presented greater challenges in design and development compared to previous Plenums. However, these efforts have resulted in a much easier installation process. The IPD Turbo Plenum is available in a single 74mm version that utilizes the factory 74mm throttle body. The 997.2 Turbo intake manifolds are smaller than those in the 997.1 Turbo, which improves boost response and fuel efficiency, though it limits potential for substantial power gains. The 74mm throttle body provides sufficient airflow for these more restrictive intake runners, making a larger 82mm “Competition” version unnecessary.
• The patented IPD Plenum design performs exceptionally well with all forced induction applications, including the 997.2 Turbo. The power and torque gains delivered by the IPD Plenum are impressive, consistently exceeding factory power curves from launch to redline. The most significant power increases occur in the midrange, where they are most needed, most critical, and most enjoyable for the driver.
