Do I need a specific fuel rail for these injectors?

Yes. This set is configured for a Subaru WRX STi side feed conversion fuel rail, with a 14mm top and two 8mm rings at the lower end. Confirm that your car has that rail, or that one is part of the build, before ordering. Without that rail, look at the other Subaru sets.

How is this different from the 18.01 top-feed conversion set?

Both are four injector sets for the STi on a 48mm body with a 14mm top. The 18.01 set is coded for the 2004 to 2006 STi top feed conversion, while this set ends in an 11 lower code with two 8mm rings for the side feed conversion rail. Match the set to the rail fitted to your car.

Is the ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set enough for E85 on an SFC rail build?

Yes, within its flow rating. The ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set was designed for alternative fuels and flows about 1335cc per minute per injector. E85 requires roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline, so a high boost ethanol build may be better served by the 1750 or 2600 versions for the same rail.

What calibration work does the STi need?

The engine management must be loaded with the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1300-XDS, replacing the factory injector flow, offset and short pulse values. The fuel and ignition maps for any added boost or fuel change are then retuned in the same session.

How should I protect the warranty on a rail conversion?

Flush the new rail and lines and fit proper filtration before the injectors go in, because Injector Dynamics makes correct fuel and filtration a condition of its one year warranty against manufacturer defects. Single replacements for this flow matched set come from Injector Dynamics, which also offers cleaning and flow testing in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Subaru WRX STi Side-Feed Conversion Rail

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Subaru WRX STi side-feed conversion rails supplies four 1335cc/min injectors on 48mm bodies with grey 14mm top adapters and a lower end carrying two 8mm rings, the arrangement these SFC rails are built around. It is meant for an STi owner who has fitted, or is buying, an SFC rail and wants injectors to match it for more boost or an ethanol tune. Gasoline idle stays clean, and without an SFC rail this set does not apply.

Configuration

The final 11 in this part number is the lower-end code for two 8mm rings, which Injector Dynamics uses for the SFC rail. The same configuration is offered in the ID1750-XDS and ID2600-XDS flow classes.

Features

Two 8mm lower rings for the WRX STi side-feed conversion rail
Rated for every known fuel and designed specifically around alternative fuels such as E85 and methanol
Rated to 7.0 bar differential fuel pressure

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: Two 8mm rings, for the SFC rail

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with grey 14mm top adapters fitted (x4)

Applications

Subaru WRX STi: with a side-feed conversion fuel rail

Notes

Intended for a Subaru WRX STi side-feed conversion rail, so confirm the rail on your car before ordering
Plug-and-play adapters are not part of this set; USCAR wiring connects directly, and Denso wiring takes the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data
Also offered as the ID1750-XDS Fuel Injector Set for STi SFC Rail and ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set for STi SFC Rail for the same application

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
