Does the heater hose kit for JZA80 turbo cars fit a non-turbo Supra?

No. HPS lists part number 57-1613 for the 1993-1998 Toyota Supra with the 2JZ turbo engine, in left-hand-drive form only. The naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE car is not on the application list for this kit, so owners of non-turbo cars should look for the HPS kit listed for their engine.

Will it fit a right-hand-drive JDM Supra?

No. HPS lists this kit for left-hand-drive cars only. Right-hand-drive Mark IV Supras are not covered by part number 57-1613, and Bulletproof Automotive lists a separate HPS kit, part number 57-2148, for the right-hand-drive JDM car with the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE. Owners of right-hand-drive turbo cars should confirm fitment with HPS directly.

What temperature rating do the hoses carry?

HPS rates the 3-ply reinforced silicone to a maximum of 350F and states that it meets or exceeds OE specifications. HPS describes the hoses as a race-proven design engineered for extremely high temperature service and prolonged exposure to under-hood and coolant heat, with the correct bends molded in.

Do silicone coolant hoses lose water over time?

Yes, gradually. HPS states that silicone hose permeates water at 10 to 15 times the rate of standard EPDM rubber hose and recommends regular level checks on a daily driver. A Supra fitted with the heater hose kit for JZA80 turbo models should have its coolant reservoir checked at every oil change.

How is the kit installed?

The job involves draining the coolant, removing the factory radiator and heater hoses, fitting the HPS hoses with the supplied stainless clamps, then refilling the system and bleeding out trapped air. An owner experienced with cooling system work on a Mark IV can do it at home.

Description

HPS Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for JZA80 Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE

HPS’s Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for JZA80 Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE is part number 57-1613, built for the left-hand-drive turbo cars sold from 1993 to 1998. It swaps the factory rubber upper and lower radiator hoses and heater coolant hoses for 3-ply reinforced silicone with a 350F rating, and non-perforated stainless clamps come with it. Mark IV turbo owners running well past stock boost, or retiring hoses that may be original, are the people this kit is for.

Design and Performance

Nothing in this heater hose kit for JZA80 turbo cars changes coolant flow or capacity. Its job is to replace rubber that cracks, swells or collapses with age, which is the failure HPS designs the kit to prevent, so it is worth fitting before a stock car’s old hoses give out and early in a modified build. HPS lists it for the left-hand-drive 2JZ turbo car only; the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE and right-hand-drive cars are not covered.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
