Before undertaking the cleaning cycle, engine blind caps are removed. The engine then undergoes consecutive stages of primary cleaning, steam cleaning, and polishing for its final touch. The boring process is systematically executed, taking into account potential deformations from the dummy head and metal, thanks to specialized head bolt and gasket pieces. The meticulous focus at each stage guarantees the fabrication of highly accurate engines. Honing and cross-hatching methodologies are informed by the wisdom derived from previous race engine blueprints. Step Pro+

  • Developed for the highly capable COMPLETE ENGINE VR4.3 STEP Pro +, a unique I-beam connecting rod has been created, boasting greater buckling strength than the traditional H-beam connecting rod. On top of this, a bespoke crankshaft has been engineered to further enhance torsional rigidity. To optimize safety, the dangerous cross-section area has been expanded by increasing the pin diameter. The risky area between pins #5 and #6, where stress levels are at their peak, is specifically thickened. However, weight gain is minimized to ensure balance ratio optimization, thanks to the remeasurement and adjustment of the counterweight to cope with the increased weight of the enhanced pin section.

Connecting Rods

  • The introduction of new billet I-Beam connecting rods intended for the STEP Pro+ has resulted in an enhanced buckling strength by 26%. The H-beam connecting rod, known for its lightness and excellent equilibrium between tensile strength and buckling strength, has certain limitations. Particularly, under a meticulous examination of its buckling strength, there is a noticeable thinness in the sidewalls; this is where stress is predominantly intense and has the potential to form fractures under high torque. This area is indicated in red.
  • To significantly elevate the buckling strength, they have engineered a thick sided I-Beam connecting rod for the STEP Pro+. This development ensures that stress does not disproportionately accumulate in any single area, a benefit accrued from the newly established lightweight design, as marked by the red part. They have also advanced the design of the big end to enhance the dispersion of surface pressure of the connecting rod bearing.
