HKS uses freshly minted cylinder blocks to significantly enhance overall reliability as pre-used ones might host minute invisible damages, making precise engine building vexing. The selection of a new cylinder block thus exemplifies the HKS philosophy of creating exact engines. Further meticulous deburring and chamfering aid in enhancing accuracy. Additional linked components are also deburred, keeping in mind the assembly of head or auxiliary equipment, thus increasing work efficacy. To improve accuracy and prevent foreign objects from causing engine problems, remaining metal powder is thoroughly removed with three levels of cleaning.
