The HKS HKSTUDIE SUS with Canceller is engineered specifically for G8X M models to balance high-speed stability with genuine city-driving comfort. Developed around the concept of “balancing high speed stability and comfort for city driving,” it uses high-rigidity mono-tube dampers with inverted fronts to handle the heavy bending loads of acceleration, braking, and cornering, delivering precise and confidence-inspiring handling. Fully-threaded shock bodies front and rear allow ride height adjustment without compromising comfort, while a 30-level damping force adjustment lets the driver fine-tune the setup for everything from daily commuting to track use. The front features camber-adjustable spherical-bearing top hats for sharper turn-in, with CNC-machined aluminum top hats at the rear for strength and precision. Paired with an integrated canceller to work seamlessly with the factory electronic damper system, this coilover kit transforms the G8X into a more composed, responsive, and refined “Ultimate Driving Machine.”

Balancing High Speed Stability and Comfort

• The G8X-generation M models are equipped with electronically adjustable dampers from the factory, which deliver the high-speed stability characteristic of the M series but can still feel firm in everyday use, even in COMFORT mode. HKSTUDIE SUSPENSION was developed around the concept of balancing this high-speed stability with improved comfort for city driving.

High Rigidity Inverted Dampers

• The system uses mono-tube dampers, allowing for a large-diameter piston and providing consistent, high-quality damping characteristics. To cope with the significant bending loads that occur under acceleration, braking, and cornering in the strut-type front suspension, high-rigidity inverted dampers are employed, resulting in noticeably more precise and confident handling.

Fully-threaded Shock Body

• A fully-threaded shock body is used front and rear, enabling ride height adjustment without negatively affecting comfort by altering damper stroke or spring preload. Because the factory ride height leaves a relatively large gap between the front tire and fender, HKSTUDIE sets the front slightly lower than the rear to achieve a more aggressive stance and enhanced high-speed stability.

30-level Damping Force Adjustment

• With 30 levels of damping adjustment, the driver can fine-tune the suspension for everything from daily commuting to circuit driving. This range of adjustment helps deliver a more evolved interpretation of “The Ultimate Driving Machine,” combining a smooth, composed ride on the street with a stable, planted feel at higher speeds — ideal for M models.

Camber-adjustable Top Hat

• The front assembly features camber-adjustable spherical-bearing top hats to sharpen turn-in and improve front-end response. At the rear, CNC-machined aluminum top hats are used for a precise fit, light weight, and long-term durability.
