Does the Radiator Shroud for VA Subaru WRX models also fit the STI?

Yes. GrimmSpeed lists one Radiator Shroud for VA Subaru WRX and STI models built from 2015 to 2021, so the FA20DIT WRX and the EJ257 STI share it. It does not fit the 2022 and later VB WRX, which has its own bracket-mounted titanium shroud.

Does the titanium radiator shroud come with mounting hardware?

No. The GrimmSpeed packing list shows the titanium shroud, a splitter bulb gasket for OE-style sealing, white cotton gloves and a GrimmSpeed 9-inch decal, with no bolts or clips. GrimmSpeed calls the part a direct bolt-on design, so check the factory fasteners on the car before starting.

Will the titanium finish change color over time?

Yes, gradually. GrimmSpeed says the natural titanium sheen develops character over time and describes a finish that wears in with age. Titanium does not rust and carries no paint here, so the change is in tone and luster, never corrosion.

Why does the radiator shroud ship with white cotton gloves?

GrimmSpeed packs them for clean handling. In its care notes for titanium shroud kits, GrimmSpeed warns that oils from hands can tarnish the finish, so wearing the gloves while positioning and fastening the shroud keeps the engraved panel free of fingerprints.

Can the radiator shroud be bought as part of a set?

Yes. GrimmSpeed packages this shroud with its VA titanium fender shrouds and an engine-specific cover in two bundles: the WRX bundle adds the FA20 pulley cover and the STI bundle adds the EJ alternator shroud. Bulletproof Automotive lists both bundles.

Description

GrimmSpeed Titanium Radiator Shroud for VA Subaru WRX and STI

The GrimmSpeed Titanium Radiator Shroud for VA Subaru WRX and STI models takes over from the factory radiator cover on 2015-2021 cars with a laser-cut, bent titanium panel bearing a laser-engraved GrimmSpeed logo. GrimmSpeed treats it as the centerpiece of its VA titanium range, since it occupies the strip of the bay the eye meets first when the hood goes up. One part serves both the FA20DIT WRX and the EJ257 STI. It suits an owner who wants one decisive change; anyone planning the full titanium look can take it inside one of the two VA bundles.

Construction

GrimmSpeed cuts the shroud from titanium sheet by laser, bends it to the profile of the VA radiator support and engraves the logo into the metal, so there is no badge to lift. A splitter bulb gasket comes with the panel for OE-style sealing. Expect the bare titanium to show its natural luster on day one and to gain character over the years, a slow change GrimmSpeed counts as part of the appeal.

About GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed began in 2006 in a single-stall garage in Maplewood, Minnesota, porting and polishing Subaru manifolds. After building parts for several other makes, the company narrowed its focus back to Subaru, and its range now covers intercoolers, charge pipes, intakes, bypass valves, headers, up-pipes, catback exhausts, turbochargers, brake caliper kits, drivetrain mounts and titanium engine bay parts for the WRX, STI, Forester XT, Legacy GT, Ascent and BRZ, along with the Toyota 86 and GR86. GrimmSpeed engineers and manufactures as much of that range as it can in-house, and its front mount intercoolers are welded and inspected by hand in the USA.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
