Does the Carbon Fiber WRX Power Package work on the CVT WRX?

Yes. COBB confirms the Carbon Fiber WRX Power Package for 2015 to 2021 US market WRX sedans with either transmission. On the CVT the Accessport offers Launch Mode, which manages the factory torque limiters to build boost off the line, in place of Launch Control and Flat Foot Shifting.

Do I need a separate tune for the Redline intake?

No. The package lists Redline Off The Shelf maps as included, and COBB marks the matching calibrations with +Redline in the Accessport firmware and on its maps page. Owners who want more can have a COBB tuner write a custom map instead.

Is this kit legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists it as legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states under CARB Executive Order D-660-61, provided it is installed according to the COBB application guide. A sticker carrying that number ships in the box for inspection purposes.

Can the factory tune be put back later?

Yes. The Accessport has an Uninstall option in its main menu that reverts the ECU to exactly how it was before the flash. That makes it simple to return the WRX to its stock calibration at any point after the install.

Will it fit alongside the COBB Radiator Shroud?

No. COBB notes that the Redline Carbon Fiber Intake for the WRX will not fit with the COBB Radiator Shroud. An owner running the shroud today will need to remove it before installing this package, as the two cannot share the engine bay.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ Redline Carbon Fiber WRX Power Package for VA Subaru WRX

COBB Tuning’s Carbon Fiber WRX Power Package teams the Redline Carbon Fiber Intake for the 2015-2021 WRX with an Accessport V3 that carries the +Redline Off The Shelf maps written for it, so the hardware and its calibration arrive together. The kit holds CARB Executive Order D-660-61 and is confirmed for both manual and CVT sedans. It makes sense for a VA owner who wants a flash and a showpiece under the hood in one purchase. It leaves the intercooler, downpipe and fuel system alone, and CVT drivers should know the handheld swaps Launch Control for a different launch feature on that transmission.

Filter Access and Construction

The airbox is built from multiple layers of hand-laid 2×2 twill carbon and sealed in a gloss clear finish that resists fading from heat and UV. A billet aluminum lid holds the cone filter inside the box and a sturdy billet dial locks it down, so the Carbon Fiber WRX Power Package lets the filter come out for service with no tools. Wire-reinforced black silicone couplers and black anodized clamps keep the install tidy.

Features

Accessport V3 with a full color screen showing up to six parameters in real time
Gauge layouts configurable for race, street or dyno use
Performance timer for 0-60 mph, 60 foot, quarter mile ET and trap speed

Carbon airbox with integrated scoop and bespoke black Redline badge
CFD-designed velocity stack and flow straightener grid in a one-piece composite MAF housing
Larger pre-oiled conical air filter

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
