GiroDisc’s Front Rotors for 8Y Audi RS3 models bring GiroDisc’s two-piece, fully floating construction to the latest five-cylinder RS3. The hat is 6061-T6 aircraft-specification aluminum and the ring is cast from GiroDisc’s proprietary high-carbon iron, poured in the USA and machined in-house in Bellingham, Washington. Curved vanes inside the ring pump air from the hub outward through the disc. An RS3 owner who has begun lapping the car, and wants front discs that are re-ringed instead of replaced, is who this pair is aimed at.

Construction

The ring floats on high-strength alloy steel drive pins made by GiroDisc and cadmium plated, held by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers let the iron grow with heat yet stay quiet when cold, and the slotted face keeps the friction surface clean and breaks up water film.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
