Does the Boost Logic Titanium Exhaust for 8S TT RS include the midpipe?

Yes. Boost Logic quotes the Titanium Exhaust for 8S TT RS at 25 lb for the entire system including the midpipe, compared to about 67 lb for the factory exhaust. The downpipe is not part of the system; Boost Logic sells a downpipe for the 8S TT RS as a separate part number.

What is the difference between the valved and non-valved versions?

The valved version is designed to work exactly like the factory valves. In comfort mode the valves stay closed under partial throttle, and when the drive select is switched to Dynamic both valves open to increase airflow. The non-valved version has no valves, so it has no closed setting. Both versions are the same price.

What tip finishes are available?

Two finishes are offered for the fully adjustable oval slash-cut titanium tips. The blued finish is standard, and a black ceramic coated finish is available for 100 dollars more. Because the tips are adjustable, their position can be set during installation to suit the rear bumper of the car.

What is the exhaust made from?

The system is full titanium, precision TIG welded, with merge collectors designed for high flow. Titanium is the reason the complete system weighs about 25 lb according to Boost Logic, a large saving compared to the roughly 67 lb factory exhaust, and it is the material Boost Logic uses across its Formula Series exhausts.

Does the exhaust fit the TTS or the RS3?

No. This system is listed for the 8S Audi TT RS with the 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine. The TTS uses a different four-cylinder engine, and Boost Logic builds separate titanium systems for the RS3, so owners of those cars should choose the listing made for their model rather than this one.

Description

Boost Logic Formula Series Titanium Exhaust for 8S Audi TT RS

Boost Logic’s Titanium Exhaust for 8S Audi TT RS is a Formula Series system that Boost Logic weighs at 25 lb complete with the midpipe, against roughly 67 lb for the factory exhaust. It is TIG welded from titanium throughout, with merge collectors shaped for high flow and fully adjustable oval slash-cut titanium tips, and it is offered valved or non-valved. The valved version follows the factory valve logic, so the car stays closed and calmer in comfort mode and opens up in Dynamic. It suits a TT RS owner who wants a large weight cut from the back of the car; an owner who needs a quiet setting for daily use should choose the valved version.

Valve Operation

Boost Logic designed the valved system to work exactly like the OEM valves. In comfort mode the valves remain closed under partial throttle, and switching the drive select to Dynamic opens both valves to increase airflow. The non-valved system runs without that control, and it is the version shown in the product photos.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
