Does the Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe Cat-Back fit every C8 Corvette Z06?

Mostly, with one important caveat. It is a direct fit for the 2023 and newer C8 Z06 with the 5.5L LT6 V8, but only on cars equipped with the OEM center-exit exhaust, and it is not designed for EU-market vehicles. It bolts to the factory connection points, so no cutting or fabrication is needed.

How much power does it add?

Fabspeed's testing shows the X-pipe cat-back adds 16 whp and 19 lb-ft over the factory mid-section on its own. Run together with Fabspeed's Sport Cats, the full package returns roughly 30 whp and 36 lb-ft over stock and lifts peak output from 640 to 666 whp. No engine tune is required for either setup.

How loud is it, and is there drone?

It is loud by design, with a deeper idle and a high-pitched flat-plane wail under throttle. Because it is a race-inspired titanium system, there is some interior drone at steady cruise. Included valve simulators keep the factory active-exhaust logic satisfied so no check-engine light appears.

What is the Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe Cat-Back made from?

The Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe Cat-Back is mandrel-bent from lightweight titanium with an integrated X-pipe for better flow and scavenging. It reuses the OEM floating tips or can be ordered with carbon-fiber tips, and the whole system is backed by Fabspeed's lifetime warranty.

Is it emissions legal and hard to install?

Fabspeed states the system is emissions legal in all 50 states. It is a bolt-on cat-back that installs at the factory connection points using the stock hangers, so a competent shop can fit it in a few hours with hand tools, and the included valve simulators plug into the factory harness with no tune needed.

What is the difference between the OEM tips and carbon tips options?

The OEM-tips option reuses the Z06's factory floating exhaust tips for a stock-appearance finish at the lower price. The carbon-tips option adds Fabspeed's carbon-fiber tips with a carbon surround for a more aggressive look. Both options use the same titanium X-pipe cat-back underneath.

Description

Fabspeed Titanium Supersport X-Pipe Cat-Back Exhaust System for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Ignite the C8 Corvette Z06’s character with Fabspeed’s Titanium Supersport X-Pipe Cat-Back Exhaust System, engineered for ultra-low weight, crisp response, and a high-pitched wail under throttle. Constructed from precision mandrel-bent titanium, the system incorporates an X-pipe to improve flow and scavenging for sharper acceleration and a race-bred tone. It retains the OEM floating exhaust tips for a factory-finish look and seamless integration. Fitment note: designed only for C8 Z06 models equipped with the OEM center-exit exhaust.

Sound

This all-out race exhaust transforms the Z06’s 5.5 L V8 into a thoroughbred soundtrack. Expect a deeper, more authoritative rumble at idle, while the signature X-pipe unleashes a high-pitched wail that rivals, and may exceed, the character of a Ferrari 458. The system is intentionally loud — early-morning cold starts will be heard — and the aggressive tuning brings some interior drone. For a drone-free solution with adjustable volume, a valvetronic version is in development to deliver the best of both worlds.

Power

Paired with the Sport Cats, testing showed gains of +30whp and +36ft-lbs at 4600 rpm, equivalent to roughly +33hp at the crank. Peak output climbed from 640whp to 666whp, with torque rising from 445ft-lbs to 462ft-lbs. Comparing like-for-like configurations beyond the Sport Cat gains, the system added a further +16whp and +19ft-lbs through the midrange and an additional +7whp at peak. Refer to the dyno graph above for full details.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
