Description

Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass Pipes for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 & GT3 RS

The Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass Pipes take forty-one pounds off the back of a 991.2 GT3. That is the number that matters and it is worth sitting with, because forty-one pounds removed from behind the rear axle changes how a 911 behaves in a way no exhaust note ever will. What comes out is the pair of heavy, restrictive factory side mufflers. What goes in is 14 to 16 gauge T304 stainless, nine horsepower, and a CUP car voice on a car you can still drive on the road. Choose the valved configuration and the factory Sport Button carries on working exactly as Porsche intended, using exhaust valves from Helical Limited, the aerospace supplier Porsche itself relies on.

Features

Replaces the heavy, restrictive factory GT3 side mufflers
CUP car sound on a car that still works on the road
Retains factory Sport Button PSE functionality in the valved configuration
Helical Limited exhaust valves, the aerospace supplier Porsche uses
Cat-back emissions legal
Lightweight
O2 bungs and plugs included
Simple bolt-on installation
Backed by the Fabspeed lifetime warranty

Specifications

Material: 14-16 gauge T304 stainless steel
Valves: Helical Limited, on the valved configuration
Weight savings: 41 lbs from the rear of the car
Power gain: 9 hp
Configurations: valved or non-valved
Included: O2 bungs and plugs

Applications

Porsche 911 GT3: 991.2 | 2017-2019 | 4.0L F6
Porsche 911 GT3 RS: 991.2 | 2018-2019 | 4.0L F6

Notes

Choose the valved configuration if you want to keep the factory Sport Button working. The non-valved configuration disables PSE and leaves the car on one fixed note permanently.
These replace the side mufflers. The Fabspeed Center Muffler Bypass Pipes for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 & GT3 RS address a different section of the exhaust and are a separate product
Pairs with Fabspeed’s 991.2 header options, the Sport Headers with HJS Cats and the Long Tube Race Headers
For circuits with sound limits, the Fabspeed Competition Slip-On Turndown Tips drop measured noise by 3 dB or more
The Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software offers maps written for cars running Fabspeed exhaust hardware
All Fabspeed products are expected to ship within one week of order, though timelines are often much quicker

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass Pipes fit my 991.2 GT3 or GT3 RS? Yes. The Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass Pipes fit the 2017-2019 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 and the 2018-2019 991.2 GT3 RS, both with the 4.0L flat-six. They replace the factory side mufflers directly and install as a bolt-on with no cutting or welding. O2 bungs and plugs are included.
Should I choose valved or non-valved? Valved if the car sees road use, because it keeps the factory Sport Button working and the car retains a quiet setting. Non-valved if the car is a dedicated track or weekend machine and you want the simplest, lightest version. The choice is permanent without buying the other configuration, so decide before ordering rather than after.
How much weight do they actually save? Forty-one pounds, all of it from the rear of the car. That is roughly a spare wheel removed from behind the rear axle, which is the worst place on a 911 to carry mass. For most owners this is the reason to fit them, with the sound and the nine horsepower as what comes along with it.
What is the difference between these and the Center Muffler Bypass Pipes? They address different sections of the exhaust. These replace the side mufflers; the Center Muffler Bypass Pipes replace the centre section. They are sold as separate products with separate part numbers, so ordering one does not include the other.
Are they emissions legal and will they set a check engine light? They are a cat-back component, so nothing upstream of the catalytic converters changes and Fabspeed describes them as cat-back emissions legal. O2 bungs and plugs are supplied so the sensor arrangement is properly handled during installation rather than improvised.
How loud are they? Considerably louder than factory. Fabspeed’s description is a CUP car sound brought to the street, which is accurate: removing both side silencers is a large change. In the valved configuration the Sport Button still gives you a quieter setting for the times you want one, which is the main reason most road-driven cars take that version.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
