Description

Fabspeed Performance Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 & GT3 RS

Fabspeed’s Performance Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS answers the question every owner of a 4.0-liter, 9,000-rpm flat-six eventually asks: what does this engine do once the restriction comes out of it? Fabspeed builds the hardware in house at its 26,000 square foot facility in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, where each header is hand TIG welded and back-purged by craftsmen with more than a century of combined experience, CAD modeled before a tube is bent and developed incrementally on the company’s own Dynojet. What arrives is a matched set rather than a parts list: sport headers, valved side muffler bypass pipes, deluxe dual-style tips and an XperTune calibration written around that specific hardware, so the engine breathes, the valves open on command and the software knows exactly what it is managing. For the owner who wants a GT3 that stays civil on the road and gives nothing away on track, this is the whole answer under one part number.

Notes

Fabspeed products ship within one week of order, though timelines are often quicker
To ensure proper header seal, tighten all exhaust bolts to the OEM torque specs after the initial heat cycle
This upgrade requires you to send in your ECU one time for unlocking and tuning. Review the tuning guide in the instructions and include a completed ECU Tuning Information form in the box when you ship the unit
A PC running Windows is required to upload new tune files (Mac OS is not supported)
The handheld device marries to your vehicle and can only be used on one car
Power gains are strongest on a car already carrying bolt-on upgrades, though the package makes real gains on an otherwise stock car
Components in the Performance Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS are also sold individually: Fabspeed Sport Headers for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 & GT3 RS (FS.POR.9912GT3.SHDR), Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass Pipes for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 & GT3 RS (FS.POR.9912GT3.SMBX) and Fabspeed Long Tube Race Headers for 991 Porsche 911 GT3 / GT3 RS / R (FS.POR.991GT3.LTRHDR). Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Performance Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS fit my car? Yes, if your car is a 2017-2019 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 or a 2018-2019 991.2 GT3 RS with the 4.0-liter flat-six. The Performance Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS is built specifically for that platform, so it is not interchangeable with 991.1 or 992 GT3 hardware. Check the chassis code on your car before ordering if you are unsure which generation you have.
How much power does the package add? Fabspeed publishes gains of 34 horsepower and 30 torque, developed incrementally on the company’s own Dynojet. The package also removes 34 pounds through the side muffler bypass pipes alone. Gains are strongest on a car that already carries other bolt-on upgrades, because the engine is working more efficiently to begin with, but a stock car still sees substantial improvement.
What is the difference between the street and race configurations? The street configuration uses sport headers with 200 cell HJS high flow Sport Cats and is tuned to run with no check engine light, guaranteed. The race configuration uses the long tube competition race header system with Race Pipes and is intended for track use. Both configurations of the Performance Package for 991.2 Porsche share the valved side muffler bypass pipes, deluxe dual-style tips and XperTune calibration.
What are the headers made from? They are manufactured from 14-16 gauge, CNC mandrel bent T304L stainless steel, hand TIG welded and back-purged by Fabspeed craftsmen with over 100 years of combined experience. Each header terminates in a high velocity 3-into-1 pyramidal investment cast merge collector, which keeps exhaust velocity up through the collector and improves scavenging between cylinders.
Do I have to send my ECU to Fabspeed? Yes. The XperTune software requires your ECU to be sent in one time so it can be unlocked, programmed with the new map and made compatible with the optional handheld tuner. Include a completed ECU Tuning Information form in the box. Once the unit is returned, you can load future tune files yourself using the handheld device and a Windows PC.
Will this void my Porsche warranty? No. Fabspeed states that the package is compatible with the factory Porsche warranty, and the street configuration is tuned to run without triggering a check engine light. Fabspeed also backs the hardware with its own Lifetime Warranty. The package is not CARB approved, so it cannot be sold into California or other states requiring CARB certification.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
