The Fabspeed Long-Neck Intercooler for the 930 Porsche 911 Turbo is a high-performance upgrade engineered to optimize flow efficiency and provide maximum cooling. Air Bypass Valve System

• These large and heavy systems were originally found on the 930 Turbo models and were later updated or removed by the factory. The housings acted as an intermediary component between the intercooler and the intake manifold, integrating with the Bosch K-Jetronic emissions control system. This assembly regulated and bypassed excess pressure back into the intake circuit using a vacuum-actuated piston, compression spring, and diaphragm regulator. These wearable components are often responsible for common drivability issues and sluggish engine response. The assembly also includes input ports for the boost gauge and limiting sensors. The 1991-1994 965 C2 Turbo models were updated with a simpler, lightweight boost control valve. The Fabspeed intercooler system replaces this assembly and converts to the long-neck design along with the newer style boost control valves. This upgrade significantly enhances drivability, providing sharper boost response and allowing the turbocharger to spool more quickly.
