Crafted for racing, track events, and off-road applications, Fabspeed’s long tube headers with integrated side muffler bypass pipes are engineered to unleash the full bolt-on potential of the Porsche 997.2 GT3 / GT3RS engine by optimizing exhaust flow directly from the engine cylinders into the exhaust system. This meticulously designed system has undergone incremental dyno development to ensure it maximizes engine power across the entire powerband.

Engineering

  • Fabspeed’s engineering team swiftly developed a race header to optimize the track performance of the vehicle. Initially successful with a medium tube modular header design, they sought even more power. When tasked with enhancing a GT3 RS, they seized the opportunity to further refine their long tube header design. Through extensive development, including dyno and track testing, they have identified the optimal formula for unlocking maximum performance and exhaust flow from the GT3. The GT3 header, developed in collaboration with Burns Stainless LLC stands as the pinnacle of race header systems for the Porsche GT3 / GT3 RS.

Helical Valves

  • Fabspeed opted for Helical Valves due to their exceptional quality, as validated by various OEM manufacturers including Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and others. These valves are sourced from Helical U.K., an Aerospace company exclusively selected by Porsche AG for their GT3 and GT3 RS vehicles globally due to their reliability and durability. They feature high-temperature silica carbide bearings at both ends of the butterfly spindle, along with construction from Inconel T625 stainless steel. The valve body is cast from stainless steel with stiffening ribs to ensure ultimate durability and efficient cooling.

Burns Stainless Collectors

  • The header system concludes with the incorporation of Burns stainless collectors, demonstrating a seamless balance between high flow and velocity. This results in an improved and sustained torque curve for the engine. The decision to utilize Burns stainless slip-on collectors was evident, given their exceptional design and established track record spanning three decades in global motorsport competitions. The system underwent meticulous engineering, utilizing a proprietary x-design parametric engine/exhaust design computer program to ensure accuracy and enhance performance. Furthermore, it undergoes an internal hand-finishing process to promote optimal flow dynamics and maximize power gains.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US.
