Crafted specifically for racing, track events, and off-road applications, Fabspeed’s Long Tube Competition Race Headers, featuring integral side muffler bypass pipes, are engineered to optimize the bolt-on potential of the Porsche 997 GT3/GT3RS engine by enhancing exhaust flow directly from the engine cylinders into the exhaust system. This meticulously designed system, developed through incremental dyno testing, effectively maximizes engine power across the entire powerband. The GT3 header was crafted in collaboration with the racing engineers at Burns Stainless LLC in Costa Mesa, California. Renowned as a global leader and innovator in stainless steel header design, Burns Stainless specializes in testing and constructing high-velocity merge collectors.

Helical Valves

• Fabspeed selected Helical Valves for their outstanding quality, a choice endorsed by multiple OEM manufacturers such as Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari, and Lamborghini. These valves are supplied by Helical U.K., an Aerospace company chosen exclusively by Porsche AG for their GT3 and GT3 RS vehicles worldwide due to their reliability and durability. They boast high-temperature silica carbide bearings at both ends of the butterfly spindle and are constructed from Inconel T625 stainless steel. The valve body is cast from stainless steel with stiffening ribs, ensuring unparalleled durability and efficient cooling.

Burns Stainless Collectors

• The header system concludes with the incorporation of Burns stainless collectors, demonstrating a seamless balance between high flow and velocity. This results in an improved and sustained torque curve for the engine. The decision to utilize Burns stainless slip-on collectors was evident, given their exceptional design and established track record spanning three decades in global motorsport competitions. The system underwent meticulous engineering, utilizing a proprietary x-design parametric engine/exhaust design computer program to ensure accuracy and enhance performance. Furthermore, it undergoes an internal hand-finishing process to promote optimal flow dynamics and maximize power gains.

Notes
