Do the Fabspeed Header Blankets fit my C8 Corvette?

They fit the C8 Corvette Stingray from 2020 and the E-Ray from 2023 with the 6.2-liter LT2 V8. The Fabspeed Header Blankets are shaped for Fabspeed's own C8 Long Tube Sport Headers and also fit many other aftermarket long-tube headers for the car. Confirm your headers before ordering if they are not the Fabspeed set.

Do they fit the factory headers?

No. These blankets are sized for aftermarket long-tube headers, including Fabspeed's own, not the factory hydroformed headers. If your C8 is still on stock headers, add the Fabspeed Long Tube Sport Headers first; the blankets are the heat-management companion to that upgrade.

Why choose blankets over header wrap or a ceramic coating?

Blankets insulate more of the header and are easy to remove, where wrap can trap moisture against the metal and ceramic coating is permanent and less effective at holding heat in. Fabspeed has refined this military-spec design on McLaren and Ferrari exhausts for over 20 years, so it is built to last rather than degrade after a season.

What do they actually protect?

By keeping header heat inside the exhaust, the blankets lower engine-bay temperatures and shield the electronics, plastics, and fuel lines packed around the exhaust in the C8's mid-engine bay. Cooler underhood air also helps nearby components live longer and keeps intake temperatures in check.

Will they smoke after I install them?

Yes, at first. New blankets commonly give off some smoke for the first few heat cycles as the materials cure, which is normal and expected. It clears after two or three warm-ups, so there is no need to worry when it happens the first time you run the car.

Are they a bolt-on install?

Yes. The blankets wrap the headers and secure with the included 321 stainless springs and hardware, with no cutting or special tools needed. Many owners fit them with the headers out of the car for easier access, so installing the blankets while doing the header swap is the simplest approach.

Description

Fabspeed Header Blankets for C8 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray and Stingray

Fabspeed offers the best exhaust heat control solution for the C8 Corvette. While GM engineers designed the factory headers with heat shields to protect sensitive electronic components in the engine bay, most aftermarket headers lack heat shields or provisions for attaching the OEM shields. After extensive heat testing during the design of their exhaust solutions for the C8, Fabspeed discovered that heat control is crucial to prevent electronics, plastics, and fuel lines from melting or suffering fatigue due to intense heat cycling. To address this, Fabspeed developed military-spec thermal blankets that offer superior heat control compared to the OEM shields, specifically for their Sport Headers and many other aftermarket headers. With over 20 years of experience designing heat blankets for high-performance vehicles like McLaren and Ferrari, these blankets can withstand up to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit, outperforming header wrap and ceramic coatings by preventing moisture retention and providing better heat management.

Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
