The F8X M3 / M4 intake system represents one of Eventuri’s most ambitious projects to date. Now upgraded to the V2 design, it incorporates sealed filter housings that help maintain more consistent Intake Air Temperatures (IAT), even when stationary. The new ducts, which seal the housings along with the scoops, ensure unrestricted airflow while keeping IATs low through cold air saturation. Every detail was meticulously considered to establish this flagship intake as a benchmark for the platform. From the scoops to the ducts to the intake tubes, a “complete solution” was developed to ensure a smooth inlet track with optimal cold air saturation. With a carbon weave designed to match the OEM M Performance carbon, this system sets a new standard.

The Eventuri Difference

• The Eventuri system incorporates their patent-pending Carbon Fiber Housing, which offers an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. This system transcends the typical cone filter with a heat shield, featuring a distinctive design that leverages the Venturi effect.

Carbon Filter Housings

• The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum cowls, V-band clamps, laser-cut brackets, and the patented carbon pods. These pods encase the reverse-mounted filter and streamline airflow into the intake tubes. The geometry of this setup utilizes the Venturi effect, where airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions, akin to a large velocity stack. An accompanying diagram illustrates how this patented design compares to regular intake systems, with bespoke filters smoothing the airflow to maintain an even velocity profile as it exits the housings.

Carbon Sealing Ducts

• These ducts are precisely designed to cover the stock cold air ducting channels, directing ambient air into the filters while sealing the openings of the filter housings to block heated air entry.

Carbon Intake Tubes

• Crafted from 100% prepreg carbon fiber, Eventuri’s intake tubes each feature an integrated MAF sensor mount, CNC machined from aluminum. The shorter left-side tube facilitates a smooth transition from the carbon housing to the turbo inlet tube. The longer right-side intake tube, designed to navigate around the fan shroud and strut brace, employs a similar principle as the stock tube by altering its cross-section from a circle at the turbo inlet to an oval above the shroud, and then back to a circle at the filter housing end. These transitions are gradual to ensure uninterrupted airflow, maintaining a constant cross-sectional area to keep airflow velocity consistent.

Carbon Air Scoops

• The final components in this system are the front scoops – essential to direct ambient air to the ducts and then to the filters.
• The scoops were designed for maximum efficiency in directing the incoming air to the stock duct openings. Many aftermarket scoops have a large flat area almost perpendicular to the oncoming air – not great for channeling it into the ducts as the airflow just “hits” this flat portion and creates turbulence.
• The Eventuri Scoops have been designed to sit directly behind the front grills to capture as much air as possible and with a continuous curve to the duct opening to ensure this airflow is efficiently channeled.
• Having an effective cold air feed to the filters is an essential part of their design. Simply having some heat shields in place is not an effective means of avoiding heated air from entering the filters unless the shields create an air tight envelope around the filters. The scoops and ducts in the system combine to provide the filter openings with ambient air and maintain low intake air temperature.
• All the components come together in the engine bay to produce a genuine improvement in the driving experience as well as providing an incredible visual display of form and function in complete harmony.
• This intake system is available in black carbon fiber as well as a range of Kevlar options in Red, Blue, Yellow or Orange.
