Eventuri Black Carbon Intake System for X253 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 / S

Eventuri’s Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S intake system is the result of extensive development against three objectives: increase flow, lower intake temperatures, and preserve smooth airflow. By exploiting the limited engine-bay space, the design achieves a 39% higher flow rate than stock. A fully sealed architecture protects against the GLC63 S’s high under-hood temperatures critical with turbos located near the intake. Custom rounded panel filters and organically shaped ducts remove sharp transitions, maintaining laminar flow from filter to turbo inlet and minimizing turbulence. With all three goals met, the system enables the turbos to generate boost more efficiently, sharpening throttle response and delivering genuine power gains that scale with higher states of tune.

AIRBOX ASSEMBLIES

  • Each airbox assembly comprises upper and lower sections split by the filter panels, with every surface engineered for maximum internal volume and a smooth path to the turbos. The principal challenge—raising flow capacity over the stock units in a tightly packaged GLC63 S bay—was addressed by maximizing overall air box height, most notably through enlarged upper lids. The result is a substantial volume increase paired with a cleaner, more direct airflow route.

BESPOKE PANEL FILTERS

  • Eventuri specifies custom panel filters featuring a double-layer, ISO 5011-tested non-woven mesh. The dry filtration medium requires no oil, protecting sensitive flow sensors. Departing from traditional rectangular elements, the filters adopt a rounded outer profile, enabling a smoother air box contour without sharp 90° corners and minimizing turbulence throughout the airflow path.

CNC MACHINED FILTER FLANGES

  • Eventuri emphasizes that panel filters must remain perfectly sealed within the air-boxes. Because the housings are pre-preg carbon fiber—whose dimensional tolerances differ from precision-machined parts—Eventuri developed black-anodized flanges CNC-machined from a single billet of aluminum. The filters locate within these flanges, which are mounted inside the carbon airboxes to ensure a precise, reliable seal around the filters’ rubber profiles.

Performance

  • Eventuri validated the GLC63 S/C63 S intake through controlled chassis-dyno, road-dyno, and flow-bench testing. Back-to-back dyno runs on a fully stock car and a stage-2 car (downpipes + remap) were performed with the hood closed to reflect real road conditions—critical on the hot C63 S engine bay where open-cone setups can appear strong on an open-hood dyno yet suffer heat soak on the road. Simply swapping the stock airboxes for the sealed Eventuri system produced a linear power increase from about 4,800 rpm as airflow demand rose and the OEM boxes became restrictive, sharpening part- and full-throttle response to redline. Independent Insoric road-dyno tests by CF Dynamics on a stage-1 C63 S, same day and Autobahn stretch, showed the stock boxes restricting flow after ~5,000 rpm, with gains of 31 hp and 39 Nm for the Eventuri intake. SuperFlow SF-1020 testing at 28″ H₂O confirmed up to a 41% increase in maximum flow vs stock; notably, a tubular open-cone intake flowed more than OEM but still less than Eventuri’s sealed system because its constant-diameter tube limits expansion—akin to breathing through a straw versus a funnel.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
