Development

• Development began with a 3D scan of the car’s designated area, enabling precise design work within a CAD environment using SolidWorks. The air filter system was meticulously optimized for airflow, with radiuses and angles refined multiple times to achieve peak performance. The final product was rigorously verified through Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD) analysis and testing on the Superflow SF1020 flowbench, ensuring reliable and accurate performance data. The do88 air filter kit is constructed from high-quality vacuum-infused, prepreg carbon fiber and features CNC-machined connections to the turbo inlet hoses. Designed to maximize airflow, the kit utilizes the full available space within the vehicle’s structure. The carbon housings are tailored to accommodate a large inverted cone filter from BMC, known for their premium filter media. Secured with a stainless water jet-cut bracket, the do88 air filter kit fully replaces the OE air filter box, offering a significant performance upgrade with improved airflow, durability, and overall engine efficiency.
