SOUL Performance’s Competition Exhaust Package for 997 Porsche 911 GT3 / GT3 RS is a 3-in-1 exhaust solution for those who want an aggressive system with the ability to remove and replace parts as track conditions or preferences change. Development and Testing

The Competition Exhaust Package for 997 Porsche 911 GT3 / GT3 RS was born when SOUL was approached to create an exhaust solution that maximizes sound and weight reduction while maintaining reasonable cabin presence and investment. SOUL took that a step further by making the solution modular, combining side and center muffler deletes so you can mix and match the system with the factory center muffler or side mufflers to experiment with different sound characteristics and raise or lower overall sound level. Because deleting the factory center and side mufflers at the same time also removes the factory support brackets, SOUL created bespoke support brackets specifically for this combination of components.

Construction

Each exhaust component is made from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing, with Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty W4 clamps included to mount the system to the vehicle. Projection welding spots, a swinging bridge, a high-strength stainless steel bolt, and the exclusive design of the captive nut and trunnion offer superior clamping force and longevity, and AccuSeal clamps connect the exhaust to the side mufflers. A variety of exhaust tip options are available, from double-wall tips to attractive single-wall stainless steel tips. Each component is tested in a fixture to ensure perfect fitment and then foam packed to arrive in perfect condition, with vacuum line plugs included for those running the non-valved setup. Installation is straightforward and can be performed by most DIY enthusiasts, and no check engine lights are associated with this system since the O2 sensors are located in the headers.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
