COBB Tuning’s Accessport V3 for 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S models covers the 2010 to 2013 cars with either the manual gearbox or PDK, and it is covered by CARB Executive Orders D-660-70 and D-660-91 for use on the road in every state. This version flashes the engine only. Owners who also want COBB shift and clutch calibrations for the PDK should choose AP3-POR-002-PDK, which adds transmission flashing; for a manual car, or a PDK car whose owner is content with the factory shift logic, this is the right handheld.

Engine Tuning

The Accessport V3 for 997.2 Turbo models swaps the factory engine calibration for a more aggressive COBB map, chosen from an Off The Shelf library that covers most bolt-on modifications. Up to 100 maps fit on the device, including custom files from a COBB tuner, and each one loads from the menu. When the time comes to sell or service the car, the uninstall option reverts the ECU to exactly how it left the factory.

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
