Is the Accessport V3 for 992 Turbo models legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists this Accessport under CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-161 and D-660-199, which makes it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states. That approval holds when the device and its maps are used as the COBB application guide describes for the 911 Turbo and Turbo S.

Does it fit both the Turbo and the Turbo S, coupe or cabriolet?

Yes. The confirmed application list covers the 992 generation 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S from the 2021 through 2024 model years, in both coupe and cabriolet body styles. COBB does not list later model years for this part number, so owners of newer cars should confirm coverage with us before ordering.

Do I need to download maps before the first flash?

No. COBB states that all Performance Maps for this application come preloaded on the handheld, so the first flash can happen as soon as it is plugged in and the on-screen steps identify the car. AP Manager for PC or Mac keeps firmware and maps current.

Can the Accessport V3 for 992 cars return the ECU to stock?

Yes. The Accessport V3 for 992 Turbo models includes an uninstall option in the main menu that restores the engine computer to exactly the state it was in before the first flash. Owners use it before a dealer visit or a sale.

What happens if the car already has another tune?

The car should be returned to factory software first. COBB warns that installing this Accessport over anything other than original or COBB software may result in ECU or TCU failure. Ask the previous tuner to restore the stock calibration, then follow the normal on-screen install, and contact COBB support if anything about the history is uncertain.

Description

COBB Tuning Accessport V3 for 992 Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S

COBB Tuning’s Accessport V3 for 992 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S models rewrites the factory engine calibration with COBB maps, and every Performance Map for these cars ships already loaded on the handheld. CARB Executive Orders D-660-161 and D-660-199 keep a tuned Turbo street legal in every state. For an owner who wants a sharper Turbo without committing to hardware, this is where to begin; a car already carrying software from another tuner has to go back to factory programming first.

Tuning and Support

The Accessport V3 for 992 cars stores up to 100 calibrations, so a street map, a track map and the stock file can sit side by side and be swapped from the menu. When modifications go further than the Off The Shelf maps anticipate, a COBB tuner can write a custom calibration that loads onto the same device, and the uninstall routine puts the ECU back exactly as it left the factory.

Features

Every Performance Map for the 992 Turbo and Turbo S preloaded on the device
Larger, full color, higher resolution screen than earlier Accessports
Customizable gauge layout showing up to six live parameters at once
In-vehicle mount with an on/off switch
Interchangeable faceplates and a user-customizable start up screen
Datalogging of multiple channels with up to 10 hours of storage
Performance timer for 0-60 mph, 60 foot, quarter mile ET and trap speed, plus a custom shift light

Applications

Porsche 911 Turbo: 992 | 2021-2024 | Coupe and Cabriolet
Porsche 911 Turbo S: 992 | 2021-2024 | Coupe and Cabriolet

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-161 and D-660-199
Installing this Accessport over anything other than factory or COBB software may result in ECU or TCU failure
COBB lists coverage for the 2021 through 2024 model years only
Off The Shelf maps cover most bolt-on modifications; larger builds call for a custom tune from a COBB tuner

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
