Does the Silver Factory Intercooler Power Package require cutting?

No. The intercooler in the Silver Factory Intercooler Power Package mates to the OEM shutter shroud, and COBB specifies no cutting, trimming or permanent modification to the truck. Buyers who want the larger 24 inch front mount core accept minor grille trimming instead.

Does this package tune the transmission?

No. This version includes the AP3-FOR-005 Accessport V3, which flashes the engine ECU only. COBB sells the same hardware with the AP3-FOR-005-TCM Accessport, which adds off-the-shelf transmission tunes for shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits, for owners who want the gearbox recalibrated too.

How much larger is the intercooler than stock?

COBB states the core is 70 percent greater than the stock unit and offers 10 percent more cooling surface area. The cast aluminum end tanks were shaped with computational fluid dynamics for even flow, and the outlet has a large chamfer that smooths the path into the throttle body tube.

Is the package legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers D-660-217 and D-660-245 for this package, so it is legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to the COBB application guide.

Which trucks does it fit?

COBB confirms fitment for USDM Ford F-150 Raptor trucks from 2017 through 2020 and USDM F-150 Limited trucks from 2019 and 2020, both P552 models with the 3.5L EcoBoost. The P702 Raptor that arrived for 2021 is not on the confirmed applications list.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Silver Factory Intercooler Power Package for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor and Limited

COBB Tuning’s Silver Factory Intercooler Power Package is the no-cut route to Stage 2 on a P552 Raptor or F-150 Limited, combining an Accessport V3, the 7F2125 dual 3 inch intake and a silver cast aluminum intercooler that sits in the stock location. Its core is 70 percent larger than stock, and it mates to the OEM shutter shroud without cutting or trimming. CARB Executive Orders cover the package in all 50 states. It tunes the engine only, so owners who also want shift recalibration should buy the TCM version.

Intercooler Design

COBB designed this intercooler in house, using computational fluid dynamics to shape end tanks that spread flow evenly, and chamfered the outlet port. Two flats are cast into the housing for future water or methanol injection: the top one can be drilled and tapped for a nozzle, the bottom one used as a drain port.

Accessport V3

The handheld in the Silver Factory Intercooler Power Package mounts in the cabin, shows up to six live parameters on a full color screen and stores up to 100 maps from the COBB off-the-shelf database or a COBB tuner. Raptor extras include Auto Start-Stop retention, Dynamic Pedal Control and Valet Mode.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
