What does the Redline Black Intercooler TCM Package add over the version without TCM?

The Redline Black Intercooler TCM Package swaps the engine-only Accessport for the AP3-FOR-005-TCM handheld. That unit also flashes the transmission control module and carries off-the-shelf transmission tunes for shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits. The carbon intake, black factory location intercooler and vehicle badge are the same parts in both kits.

Do I have to cut the grille or bumper to fit the intercooler?

No. The black cast intercooler bolts into the factory location and mates to the OEM shutter shroud, and COBB specifies no cutting, trimming or permanent modification to the truck. It is the right choice for owners who want the front end to look stock while still gaining a core 70 percent larger than the original.

Is this kit legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Orders D-660-217 and D-660-245 for this package, so it is legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed following the COBB application guide. Keep the EO numbers with your paperwork in case an inspection station asks for them.

Which trucks are confirmed?

COBB confirms the USDM Ford F-150 Raptor for 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, plus the USDM F-150 Limited for 2019 and 2020, all with the 3.5L EcoBoost. Other F-150 trims and the 2021 and later Raptor are not on the list, and COBB offers separate Accessports for those trucks.

Can the Accessport return the truck to stock?

Yes. An Uninstall option in the Accessport main menu restores the engine computer to exactly how it was before the first flash. Hold on to the factory airbox lid, intake piping and intercooler as well, since putting the truck back to original condition means reinstalling those parts by hand.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Redline Black Intercooler TCM Package (Factory Location) for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor and Limited

COBB Tuning’s Redline Black Intercooler TCM Package pairs the AP3-FOR-005-TCM Accessport V3, which flashes both the engine computer and the transmission control module, with a gloss carbon fiber intake and a black cast intercooler that sits in the stock position. That 7F1527-BK core is 70 percent larger than the factory unit and seats against the OEM shutter shroud, so the grille and bumper stay untouched. Choose it if you want shifting that keeps pace with Stage 2 power on a 2017-2020 Raptor or 2019-2020 Limited; if maximum core volume matters more than a no-cut install, the front mount version is the better buy.

Transmission Tuning

Beyond engine maps, the handheld in this Redline Black Intercooler TCM Package loads off-the-shelf transmission tunes that change shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits. On the Raptor and Limited it also adds Auto Start-Stop adjustment that holds through key cycles, dynamic pedal control from -5 to 10 and a valet mode that caps throttle near 25 percent.

Gloss clear coated 3k tow carbon fiber in a 2×2 twill weave for the intake tube and airbox lid

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
