What comes in the Intercooler and Intake Package?

The Intercooler and Intake Package contains the AP3-FOR-011 Accessport V3 with TCM flashing, the COBB Intake System w/ HCT, the black factory-location front mount intercooler and a COBB vehicle badge. COBB recommends the separate snorkel bracket 8G4625 on trucks keeping the factory snorkel.

Why upgrade the intercooler on a Tremor?

COBB describes the factory intercooler on the 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 as undersized and prone to heat soak, which reduces available power. The COBB unit has a core 70% larger than stock and 10% more cooling surface area for towing, repeated pulls and hot weather.

Is this Stage 2 package legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Orders D-660-135, D-660-245 and D-660-289 for this package, so it is legal for sale and use on emissions-controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to the COBB application guide. The HydroCarbon Trap in the intake stays in place.

Does this package fit a standard F-150 3.5L?

No. COBB confirms it only for the 2021 and 2022 F-150 Tremor in the US market. Owners of a standard 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 from those years should look at the COBB Stage 2 package without intake, which uses the same black intercooler and Accessport.

Will the intercooler require cutting or trimming?

No. This factory-location intercooler mates snugly to the OEM shutter shroud with no cutting, trimming or permanent modification. COBB sells a larger front mount intercooler that needs light modification, but the unit in this kit is the simpler bolt-in choice for a truck that should stay reversible.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Black Factory Location Intercooler and Intake Package for P702 Ford F-150 Tremor (2021-2022)

COBB Tuning’s Intercooler and Intake Package for the 2021 and 2022 F-150 Tremor is the most complete COBB bolt-on bundle offered for this truck: the AP3-FOR-011 Accessport V3, the Intake System w/ HCT and a black factory-location front mount intercooler. COBB lists CARB EO D-660-135, D-660-245 and D-660-289, so it stays legal in all 50 states. COBB calls the stock EcoBoost intercooler undersized and quick to heat soak, which costs power. Treating airflow in and heat out together makes this the logical kit for a Tremor that tows. If a COBB intake is already fitted, the no-intake Stage 2 kit avoids paying twice.

Intercooler and Intake Hardware

The black cooler in the Intercooler and Intake Package sits in the stock position against the OEM shutter shroud, needs no cutting, and has a cast aluminum, TIG welded core 70% larger than stock with 10% more cooling surface area. Ahead of the turbos, dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminum tubes replace the factory piping after the airbox, with custom silicone couplers and the HydroCarbon Trap retained.

Features

Black cast aluminum intercooler with CFD-shaped end tanks
Cast-in flats ready to tap for water or methanol injection and a drain port
Integrated HCT keeps the factory emissions vapor trap
Simulated Stock, OEM+ and Sport transmission maps alongside Stage 0, 1, 2 and Performance Tow engine maps
COBB Custom Features for Auto Start-Stop, Dynamic Pedal Control, Tire Size Adjustment and Valet Mode

What’s Included

Accessport V3 for P702 Ford F-150 3.5L and Tremor (AP3-FOR-011)
COBB Front Mount Intercooler, Black (Factory Location, 7F1527-BK)
COBB Intake System w/ HCT (7F2150)
COBB Vehicle Badge (800200)

Ford F-150 Tremor: P702 | 2021-2022 | USDM

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-135, D-660-245 and D-660-289
Listed for the 2021-2022 Tremor only, not the standard 3.5L F-150
PowerBoost hybrid models are not supported
COBB recommends the Intake Snorkel bracket (8G4625) on trucks keeping the factory snorkel, or the Redline Carbon Fiber Air Scoop, which includes it

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
