The AWE Tuning 4.0T Track Edition Exhaust with Diamond Black Tips for the C7 and C7.5 Audi S7 is built for drivers who want to hear the full character of the twin-turbo V8 without artificial filtering. It’s a non-resonated, straight-through design that replaces the rear sections of the factory exhaust, which means noticeably louder cold starts, sharper throttle response in sound, and a more aggressive tone throughout the rev range, especially under load. At cruising speeds, there is some cabin presence, but it’s part of the tradeoff for eliminating the factory muffling and unlocking a rawer exhaust note. The diamond black tips add a subtle contrast against the S7’s rear valance, keeping the look understated while still distinct. Fitment is precise, using factory mounting points, and the system is engineered to balance performance gains with durability, using T304L stainless steel to handle heat cycles and long-term use without corrosion issues.

Track Edition Exhaust

• For those who prefer a more unfiltered, aggressive exhaust note, the Track Edition takes a simpler approach. It shares the same integrated front pipe, custom midpipe resonator, and overall layout as the Touring Edition, but leaves out AWE’s 180 Technology® for drone reduction. In its place, the rear section is a straight-through design, which brings a noticeable increase in volume and a sharper, more pronounced tone during acceleration and lift-off. The result is a much louder system overall, and it may be more than some drivers are comfortable with on a daily basis.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE Tuning’s patented 180 Technology routes exhaust gases through a resonator with carefully positioned ports and reflection chambers, where sound waves are directed, reflected, and timed to re-enter the exhaust flow at precise intervals. When these returning waves are 180 degrees out of phase, they cancel specific unwanted frequencies. Each resonator is tuned for the exact vehicle application rather than using a universal setup, which keeps the sound consistent and controlled; the result is reduced drone while maintaining a full, natural exhaust tone with a more balanced overall character.

Exhaust Tips

• Each system includes three 4.5-inch double-walled, slash-cut tips, offered in either Chrome Silver or Diamond Black and finished with an AWE logo stamp. Each tip can be adjusted individually, allowing you to fine-tune how they sit within the bumper.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During development, AWE evaluated the factory exhaust valve under various driving conditions and noted little to no meaningful change in overall volume between modes that activate it. The valve stays closed in Comfort mode until a certain throttle input is reached, then opens, while in Sport and Sport+ it remains open, with Sport+ introducing ECU-controlled burbles. In the stock setup, exhaust is routed through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to keep cabin noise and drone down, and shifts to the center path once the valve opens.
