• The Touring Edition Exhaust blends aggressive performance with a controlled, refined tone, built as a 3” T304L stainless steel downpipe-back system for straight-through flow without added cabin drone at highway speeds
• Features an integrated frontpipe, bespoke midpipe resonator, and AWE’s 180 Technology® to manage sound, producing a full, smooth K20 exhaust note without rasp
• Under boost or heavy throttle, the system opens up for a pronounced, dynamic sound, while at steady speeds the cabin remains free of drone
• Engineered specifically for the FK8 Civic Type R, with direct fitment and check-engine-light considerations already accounted for

What is 180 Technology?

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system is equipped with three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips, available in chrome silver or diamond black, each featuring a stamped AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, allowing for customization of their depth into the bumper based on personal preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During development, AWE carefully studied the factory exhaust valve across a range of driving conditions and found that overall volume does not change significantly between modes that use the valve. The valve remains closed only in Comfort mode, opening once a specific throttle threshold is reached. In Sport and Sport+ modes, it stays open, with Sport+ adding ECU-controlled burbles. In the stock setup, closing the valve routes exhaust through the side mufflers to reduce cabin volume and minimize drone, while opening it directs flow through the center section.
